Develop. Drive Operational Excellence.\nTOTE Resources is seeking an experienced and results-driven Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Finance team in Tacoma, Washington. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily Accounts Payable operations within a shared services environment supporting multiple TOTE companies.\nAs the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, maintaining strong internal controls, developing team members, and driving continuous process improvement. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on organizational efficiency while partnering with stakeholders across the business.\nAt TOTE Resources, we are committed to our core values of Safety, Operational Excellence, Customer Experience, and Colleague Experience.\nWhat You'll Do\nLeadership & Team Management\nSupervise the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable team within a shared services environment.\nInterview, hire, train, coach, and develop team members.\nPlan, assign, and direct work to ensure departmental goals and service levels are achieved.\nConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.\nAddress employee concerns, resolve issues, and foster a positive team environment.\nAccounts Payable Operations\nOversee Accounts Payable transactions to ensure they are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.\nMonitor compliance with service level agreements, internal controls, and operational standards.\nManage month-end close activities related to Accounts Payable for all TOTE companies.\nReconcile Accounts Payable-related general ledger accounts and partner with General Accounting to ensure accurate accruals and reporting.\nEnsure compliance with 1099 and 480 tax reporting requirements.\nAssist with annual financial audits and supporting documentation.\nProcess Improvement & Compliance\nDevelop, document, review, and improve Accounts Payable processes and internal controls.\nEstablish and monitor operational metrics related to volume, accuracy, and timeliness.\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen controls, and mitigate risk.\nEnsure operational compliance and consistency across Accounts Payable functions.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nExperience managing Accounts Payable processes and controls.\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\n Four (4) years of accounting-related experience.\n Two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.\nExperience working within a shared services environment.\nExperience supporting financial audits and tax reporting.\nExperience improving operational processes and internal controls.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:\nComprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).\nKnowledge of financial accounting systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.\nStrong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.\nAbility to evaluate financial systems and recommend process improvements.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nExcellent leadership and employee development skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to build effective working relationships across departments and organizational levels.\nExcellent judgment, professionalism, and communication skills.\nCompensation & Benefits\nCompensation\nSalary Range: $54,487 -
