May also assist Operations with a variety of other administrative duties.\nEssential Duties\nOperate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures\nUses the TM Command Center to monitor and identify missing, misdirected, and other freight issues\nUses all available tools and documents to locate freight, such as manifests, billing documents, videos, etc\nAssist the receiving team in researching and resolving freight exceptions and unmarked freight\nResponsible for preparing all paperwork on all OS&D freight, freight refusals, and claims, and communicates status and action plan with correct parties\nMaintain accurate records and develop or update OS&D reports as requested\nCoordinate with other terminal OS&D Coordinators to avoid repetitive OS&D issues\nField all OS&D claims, customer and customer service calls for both General Freight and Home Depot Freight\nWork with management to cross train with other operations support staff to help cover duties during PTO, illness or peak hours\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required\nTwo to four (2-4) years administrative experience in a multi-modal transportation related field (most tasks are learned on-the-job)\n6 months of Forklift experience preferred, will train\nMinimum one year experience using transportation industry software, Truck Mate preferred\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nProficient in MS Office applications, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams\nExcellent written, verbal and listening communication skills\nUnderstand Carlile data entry and shipping processes in order to conduct efficient freight searches\nKnowledge of industry specific software programs, i.e. Truck Mate and Freight Snap\nAbility to analyze and understand large volumes of shipping information\nFollow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions, complete tasks on time or communicate alternate plans\nTreats people with respect; keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically upholds organizational values\nStrong organization skills\nAdvanced attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize the work day\nMust have excellent customer service skills and represent Carlile in a professional manner\nAbility to take initiative and act independently while operating and reporting to a team of multidisciplinary stakeholders.\nWorking Environment\nThis job is done approximately 50% of the time in a fast-paced office environment and 50% of the time out on the Dock, Yard or Warehouse with exposure to inclement weather, varying temperatures. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, materials and airborne pathogens.
