Assist in auditing all costs associated with the inland movement of cargo.\nMain Duties and Responsibilities\nEquipment & Asset Management\nMonitor, reconcile and track movements of all equipment for respective region. Utilize system reports, commercial projections and historical trends for maximum and efficient utilization.\n\nCoordinate the positioning of equipment with the trucking company based on this analysis for the depots and the customers. Ensure that equipment is being utilized efficiently and the right mix of equipment is appropriate for each location.\n\nIssue TB’s for empty equipment movement.\n\nRecommend changes in equipment inventory at inland depots based on historical trends.\n\nIdentify equipment setting idle for more than 30 days. Involve customer service, sales, and the trucking company to position this equipment for use.\n\nAssist with problem resolution regarding equipment integrity in Cargo Wise as required.\n\nServe as backup to Equipment Group during vacation or absences of personnel.\n\nIntermodal Operations & Transportation Coordination\nMonitor and validate Southbound and Northbound intermodal volume and cost.\n\nReport intermodal cost and volume trends.\n\nTrack intermodal moves by region or lane (i.e. West Coast, Midwest, Southwest).\n\nSurvey equipment availability/options by region, ramp or hub location.\n\nEvaluate needs and demand for location, region, and lane with Sales and Pricing.\n\nMaintain knowledge of market price of drayage and line-haul moves.\n\nContact potential carrier(s) and determine interest, capabilities and resources.\n\nSolicit rates and charges for most common truck moves.\n\nEnsure the delivery of intermodal transportation solutions for cargo booked to TMPR vessels.\n\nAssist with Intermodal Ops Managerial duties to help develop Leadership skills for future opportunities within the company.\n\nReporting, Analytics & Cost Control\nCompile statistics on service failures/missed appointments by vendor.\n\nCompile statistic on carrier performance (meeting appoint times, accurate billing, etc.).\n\nValidate invoices related to inland movement.\n\nAssist in auditing billing reports and reporting of billing errors to trucking company to ensure that corrections have been issued.\n\nCompliance & Departmental Support\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory bodies.\n\nSupport other intermodal duties and responsibilities as required to help achieve department goals and objectives.\n\nSecondary Duties and Responsibilities\nAssists the Company in any necessary duties to achieve Company goals.\n\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\n\nAdherence to the Integrated Management System that covers Quality, Environmental, and Safety ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certifications.\n\nAuthority/Judgment/Disclosure/Financial Responsibility\nAuthority\nLimited supervision.
