From the atelier in Stockholm, we create women’s and men’s collections spanning ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories, and jewelry.\nThe Role\nTOTEME is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our New York store on Mercer Street on a full-time basis. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in leading the team, driving sales, and delivering an elevated client experience. As a brand ambassador, you will help cultivate a welcoming and inspiring in-store environment while building lasting client relationships. You will report directly to the Store Manager.\nResponsibilities\nManage store operations, ensure efficient workflows, and staff scheduling.\n\nDrive sales performance and monitor progress to consistently meet or exceed targets.\n\nProvide daily coaching and support to Sales Advisors, ensuring high team performance and consistent service excellence.\n\nGuide the team on brand knowledge, collections, store experience, and operational procedures.\n\nSupport the planning and execution of in-store events and activations in collaboration with the Store Manager.\n\nLead by example in developing strong client relationships and fostering a culture of genuine clienteling.\n\nEnsure visual merchandising standards are met and coach the team on day-to-day execution.\n\nConduct regular team briefings to align on business priorities, company policies, and new collections.\n\nShare product insights and qualitative feedback with internal teams, based on client needs and local trends.\n\nParticipate in and contribute to TOTEME’s social and environmental sustainability strategy.\n\nYour Profile\nMinimum of three years of experience in a senior retail role, preferably within the luxury fashion sector.\n\nExperience in leading and coaching a high-performing team.\n\nSolid understanding of store workflows, budgeting, and performance analysis.\n\nStrong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.\n\nFluent in English, both written and spoken.\n\nAbout You\nA dedicated TOTEME ambassador who embodies our culture and values.\n\nGenuinely curious about people and motivated to understand our client base.\n\nPassionate about delivering a luxury experience and exceeding client expectations.\n\nHighly organized with a hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving.\n\nAvailable to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.\n\nThis is a full-time position based at TOTEME's store on Mercer Street starting as soon as possible.\nThe annual salary for this role ranges between 80,000 and 90,000 USD before tax and will be set according to the applicant’s profile, skills and previous experience.\nTOTEME has teams in Stockholm, London, New York, and Shanghai, as well as retail spaces across Europe, North America, and Asia.\nTOTEME has an internal career development and title framework and the job title used in the recruitment ad may differ from the title used internally at TOTEME.\nCandidates progress through application, screening, interviews or case assessments, followed by final pre-employment checks and a formal offer before joining our team.
