Support month-end closing activities, fixed asset and lease accounting, expense reviews, and state and local tax filings.\nJOB DUTIES include but are not limited to the following:\nObtain proper information and create vendors in compliance with financial policies and procedures\nVerify, classify, review and process vendor invoices\nFind discrepancies between the vendor statements and the ledger\nReconcile and review AP aging monthly, follow up with any open AP invoices or credits\nPerform bank account reconciliations and generate a reconciliation report\nWork closely with team members to coordinate with the month-end closing\nCoordinate and communicate internally and externally on various projects\nAssist preparation of yearly 1099 forms\nAssist preparation of audits and reports\nPerform other accounting relates tasks\nAssist with fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and periodic reviews.\nAssist with lease accounting, including reviewing lease schedules, lease-related transactions, and reconciliations.\nReview operating expenses to ensure accuracy, proper classification, and compliance with company accounting policies.\nAssist with the preparation and filing of various state and local tax returns and reports\nCOMPETENCIES\nBasic accounting knowledge\nEthical Conduct\nGreat attention to detail\nTeamwork\nGreat communication skills\nQUALIFICATIONS\nQualifications for an accountant include having an extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures;
