Semiconductor is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Business Partner to support our union-represented workforce at our Newport Beach semiconductor manufacturing facility.\nThis is an opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, navigating complex employee and labor relations matters, and building productive relationships with operational leaders and employees.\nOur facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, creating a dynamic environment where sound judgment, responsiveness, consistency, and collaboration are essential.\nAs a member of our HR team, you’ll have meaningful ownership of your client groups, work alongside experienced HR colleagues, and help strengthen the practices that support our employees and operations.\nThis Job Is For You If\nLabor Relations & Contract Administration\nServe as a primary HR partner for assigned union-represented employee groups. \nAdminister and apply the collective bargaining agreement (CBA), ensuring consistent interpretation and implementation. \nManage grievances, contractual disputes, and employee concerns in partnership with management, Labor Relations, and other stakeholders. \nAdvise leaders on contractual requirements involving discipline, attendance, overtime, seniority, job postings, transfers, and other employment practices. \nBuild productive working relationships with union representatives and shop stewards while maintaining appropriate management boundaries. \nSupport labor relations initiatives, contract implementation, and preparation for collective bargaining activities. \nEmployee Relations & Investigations\nIndependently manage complex employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, complaints, corrective action, and conflict resolution. \nCoach managers on employee accountability, performance expectations, documentation, and consistent application of policies and contractual provisions. \nIdentify recurring workplace concerns and recommend proactive solutions. \nPartner with HR leadership and Legal on sensitive or high-risk matters. \nOperational HR Partnership\nDevelop strong relationships with manufacturing leaders to understand operational priorities, workforce challenges, and employee concerns. \nProvide practical HR guidance that balances business needs, employee relations, contractual obligations, and legal compliance. \nPartner with management on workforce stability, retention, attendance, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. \nAnalyze workforce trends and recommend improvements to leadership practices and HR processes. \nCompliance & Continuous Improvement\nSupport compliance with California and federal employment laws, including wage-and-hour, meal and rest period, leave, and accommodation requirements. \nPartner with Payroll, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and other HR functions to resolve workforce-related issues. \nIdentify opportunities to strengthen processes, improve consistency, and reduce employee relations and compliance risks. \nJob Requirements\nRequired Qualifications\nSignificant progressive HR experience with direct responsibility for employee relations and labor relations. \nDemonstrated experience administering collective bargaining agreements in a unionized environment. \nExperience managing grievances, workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, and union-management issues. \nExperience supporting a large, diverse hourly workforce. \nExperience with workforce analytics, HRIS systems, and HR process improvement. \nStrong working knowledge of California and federal employment laws. \nAbility to independently assess complex situations, provide sound recommendations, and influence management decisions. \nStrong communication, conflict resolution, documentation, and relationship-building skills. \nAbility to prioritize competing demands while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment. \nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. \nExperience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or another shift-based environment. \nWork Environment\nThis position is based on-site at our Newport Beach facility, Monday through Friday.
