As one of the first engineers in the Wrocław team, you will have the chance not only to build software, but also to help shape how we work, influence engineering culture, and contribute to the foundations of future teams. You will work on meaningful products at real scale, as part of a collaborative international environment, while helping establish a new engineering presence for Toyota Connected Europe in Wrocław.\nAbout the role:\nWe are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the team who will be involved in the design, development, implementation and documentation of large-scale, distributed software applications, systems and services. You will engineer platforms which will enable our vehicles to communicate to the cloud. The features you build will power driving experiences across the world.\nWhat you will do:\nDesign, develop, test and maintain software components and services in Java\n\nContribute to the delivery of scalable, reliable and well-engineered systems, following agreed standards and good engineering practices\n\nWork with other engineers to build, improve and support software across the full development lifecycle\n\nParticipate in technical design discussions and contribute to the design of components within larger systems\n\nWrite clean, maintainable and well-tested code, and take part in peer reviews and collaborative problem-solving\n\nSupport build, integration and deployment activities, helping improve development processes and team efficiency\n\nWork with APIs, data structures and system components across distributed and cloud-based environments\n\nHelp monitor, maintain and improve production services, including troubleshooting and resolving issues where needed\n\nCollaborate closely with peers and senior engineers in an agile, team-oriented environment\n\nSupport the adoption of modern engineering practices, tools and ways of working across the team\n\nContinue growing your technical skills while contributing to a strong engineering culture in Wrocław\n\nAbout you:\nYou have solid hands-on programming experience in Java (17+) and care about writing high-quality code\n\nYou have experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit5, Mockito and Testcontainers\n\nYou are familiar with APIs, web services, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices\n\nYou have experience with microservices-based systems, ideally using Spring Boot\n\nYou are comfortable working with relational databases and ideally have some exposure to NoSQL databases as well\n\nYou have experience with at least one major cloud provider, ideally AWS\n\nYou understand the fundamentals of good software design and can contribute to solutions that balance functional and non-functional requirements\n\nYou have experience building or contributing to distributed systems and modern software applications\n\nYou are familiar with containerised workloads and modern development practices, including tools such as Docker and Kubernetes\n\nYou are proactive, collaborative and comfortable reaching out to others to solve problems and unblock delivery\n\nYou are keen to keep learning, develop your skills and grow your role over time\n\nYou enjoy working in agile teams and contributing to continuous improvement, delivery quality and strong team culture\n\nYou are willing to get involved in problem resolution and helping improve the operational health of production services\n\nEqual Opportunities, Diversity & Inclusion:\nToyota Connected Europe is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that celebrates the diversity of the communities where we live and do business.
