This hybrid role serves as a key technical resource and liaison between IT, security, network engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure segmentation solutions are delivered securely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on network professional with strong enterprise networking and segmentation experience, proven ability to design and implement policy-based network access controls, and a collaborative approach to supporting both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.\nEssential Functions:\nDescription / Essential Functions:\nServe as the technical lead for LAN micro-segmentation initiatives\nPartner with IT, security, network engineering, and business teams to support segmentation requirements and project delivery\nLead the deployment, commissioning, and ongoing support of micro-segmentation and LAN network infrastructure\nSupport the design and implementation of secure, resilient network architectures across enterprise LAN environments\nEnsure segmentation and access-control requirements are incorporated into network solutions, including policy-based segmentation, VLAN design, and access control practices\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex network issues impacting segmented LAN environments\nProvide escalation support for network incidents and coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and vendors as needed\nAssist with network standards, implementation practices, and documentation for micro-segmentation deployments\nMentor and train local IT support teams on segmentation fundamentals and troubleshooting\nContribute to project planning, cutovers, maintenance activities, and operational readiness\nCollaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective, segmented network solutions\nTechnology Scope:\nCandidates should have experience with a broad mix of enterprise LAN and segmentation technologies, including:\nEnterprise LAN/WAN networks\nNetwork segmentation and secure network design (micro-segmentation, policy-based access)\nFirewalls and secure connectivity\nVLANs, routing, switching, and redundancy\nNetwork monitoring and troubleshooting\nWireless networking\nHigh availability network design\nSoftware-defined segmentation and access platforms (e.g., Cisco ACI, SDA, ISE)\nRemote access and secure support patterns\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualification:\nRequired Education & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience\n10+ years of progressive network engineering experience\nStrong knowledge of enterprise networking and secure, segmented network design\nCisco IOS - implementation experience\nCisco ACI - implementation experience\nCisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center / DNAC) - implementation and use experience\nWireless - implementation experience\nDemonstrated ability to support operations and collaborate across IT and cross-functional teams\nExperience troubleshooting complex network issues in high-availability environments\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and build strong business relationships\nExperience supporting deployments, maintenance windows, cutovers, and operational support activities\nAbility to train and mentor support personnel and operational teams\nStrong ownership mindset and ability to drive tasks through completion\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCisco SDA - implementation and support experience\nFirewall experience of any type\nCisco ISE - experience of any type\nWAN - experience of any type\nInfoblox (or a comparable tool) - experience using it for static IP and DHCP reservations\nPrivate Cellular - experience of any type\nServiceNow - experience using this tool\nMonitoring Tools - experience designing or configuring monitoring alerts for Operations\nCertifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or other networking/security credentials\nExperience developing network standards, deployment procedures, or architecture guidance for segmented LAN environments\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:\n Hybrid work environment ( Plano, TX) - onsite presence required to support deployments, change windows, and in-person collaboration;
