This individual will be responsible for developing and presenting actionable business intelligence insights using Power BI/SQL and other reporting tools. You will collaborate with senior business leaders to ensure that insights are delivered in a clear and actionable manner, helping the business achieve its strategic goals.\nQualifications\nMatric Equivalent\nBachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (NQF7) preferred.\nAt least 2 years' experience in a Management Information (MI), Business Intelligence (BI), or Data Analyst role.\nProven experience in designing and developing BI reports, particularly for senior business stakeholders.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and macros.\nExperience with Power BI, Business Objects, Tableau, or similar automated reporting tools.\nStrong experience with SQL, MSQL, Java, PHP, or other coding languages.\nKnowledge of how data is stored and managed, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.\nSix Sigma Yellow Belt (preferred).\nResponsibilities\nPower BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports, providing business stakeholders with meaningful insights and helping to drive decision-making.\nData Analysis & Reporting: Analyze complex datasets, identify key trends, and transform data into actionable business insights.\nAutomated Reporting: Utilize tools such as Power BI, Business Objects, or Tableau to automate reporting processes, ensuring that reports are accurate, timely, and accessible.\nSQL Querying & Database Management: Work with SQL, MSQL, and other coding languages to extract and manipulate data for reporting purposes.\nBusiness Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with senior business leaders to understand their data needs and ensure reports are designed to meet those needs, delivering actionable insights.\nData Storage & Management: Ensure data is accurately stored and easily accessible, while maintaining data integrity and security.\nProcess Improvement: Use data analysis to identify areas of improvement and implement data-driven solutions to improve business operations.\nCall Centre Data: Leverage knowledge of call centre systems such as Avaya CMS and IEX6 to provide insights and reporting on call centre operations and performance.\nSkills & Competencies Required:\nEmotional Intelligence\nUnderstanding and managing one's own emotions and the emotions of others to foster positive relationships and enhance the impact of action\nListens actively to the (emotional) needs of your team members, strives to understand them and acts appropriately to build positive relationships.\nEntrepreneurship\nVisionary leadership often requires taking initiative, managing risks, and driving innovation.\nCommunication\nClear, persuasive, and empathetic communication is a cornerstone of effective leadership.\nCollaboration\nEffective interpersonal skills are essential for teamwork and building strong professional relationships.\nOpen-Mindedness\nBeing receptive to different perspectives helps in building meaningful relationships.\nSolution Orientation\nProblem-solving is the process of analyzing an issue, finding its causes, and figuring at the best way to fix it.\nSolution orientation is the mindset of focusing on solutions instead of just the problem.\nThey work together because:\nProblem-solving helps understand the issue.\nSolution orientation keeps to things positive and action-focused instead of getting stuck on obstacles.
