The role drives CI/CD maturity, observability, environment automation, and operational resilience across teams. It partners with developers, architects, testers and platform teams to modernise engineering practices, streamline deployments, and support agile delivery at scale while upholding excellence in automation, tooling, and cloud engineering.\nRole Responsibilities\nDesign and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services.\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions to automate resource deployment.\nLead automation of development, testing, and production delivery across CI/CD pipelines.\nEngineer CI/CD and observability tooling to support best-practice software deployment.\nImprove production stability and resiliency through enhanced monitoring and process optimisation.\nCollaborate with engineering, QA and operations teams to ensure seamless application integration and deployment.\nArchitect and support microservices using containerisation and serverless technologies.\nDrive automation of environment management, logging and monitoring capabilities.\nEnsure adherence to cloud standards, security best practices and organisational policies.\nContribute to agile delivery practices and participate in activities to support continuous improvement.\nExperience / Competences\nEssential\nDegree in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience.\nExtensive and proven experience as a DevOps Engineer working with AWS cloud services.\nStrong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, pipeline-as-code and Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK, Terraform).\nKnowledge and working experience of containerization using Docker, and orchestration using Kubernetes.\nExperience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go or Groovy.\nKnowledge of observability concepts and tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar stacks.\nExperience integrating automated testing within CI/CD workflows.\nExperience in automation tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins, Argo CD, CloudBees or Nexus.\nWorking experience with Linux-based and Windows Server environments\nExperience implementing cloud security best practices across infrastructure and applications.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.\nExperience working in agile delivery environments (e.g. SAFe) and practising Lean Delivery principles.\nStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. \nDesired\nExperience leading DevOps or engineering transformation initiatives.\nFamiliarity with serverless architectures and microservices design patterns.\nExperience working with multi-vendor environments and external service providers.\nKnowledge of Helm charts and Kubernetes cluster management (EKS).\nKnowledge of incremental delivery and shift-left practices for quality and resiliency.\nExperience in software development using C#/.NET, Java, or Go\n\nRole Band & Level\nManager, 6\n#LI-Hybrid #LI-MID #NIJobs\nNot The Perfect Fit?\nConcerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
