You will play a key role in shaping technical architecture, ensuring system reliability, and driving best practices in software engineering. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, deep technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nRole Responsibilities\nWorking as a hands-on engineer, working closely with Architects, Principal Engineers, and Trading SMEs to design, build, review, test, and deliver mission-critical, high-performance systems end-to-end.\n\nContribute to engineering deliverables throughout the full lifecycle, ensuring performance, scalability, resilience, and alignment with engineering best practices.\n\nDrive innovation through POCs, technical evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nCommunicate progress proactively, highlighting risks and removing delivery impediments.\n\nExperience / Competences\nEssential\nHands-on experience building and supporting latency-sensitive front-office trading systems (OMS, Matching, Execution).\n\nStrong background in designing and maintaining distributed, event-driven, cloud-native applications.\n\nStrong understanding of low-latency engineering, concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimisation.\n\nComprehensive SDLC experience across design, development, QA, deployment, and production support.\n\nAbility to balance rapid delivery with architectural rigour and long-term maintainability.\n\nStrong relational database design and optimisation skills (MSSQL, MySQL).\n\nProven problem-solving capabilities and ability to validate ideas through POCs.\n\nExperience building automated testing frameworks for complex distributed systems.\n\nAbility to engage effectively with traders, quants, and other business stakeholders.\n\nDesired\nDomain experience in Credit or Fixed Income.\n\nExpertise in modern .NET technologies and C# (Java or similar OO languages considered).\n\nExperience implementing observability (metrics, tracing, logging) for distributed systems.\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).\n\nKnowledge of distributed messaging and caching technologies (e.g., Solace, Redis, or similar).\n\nUnderstanding of FIX protocol and FIX message handling.\n\nHands-on experience with AWS, microservices, and serverless patterns.\n\nFamiliarity with React and DAPR (nice to have).\n\nUnderstanding of TDD, BDD, or similar testing methodologies.\n\nRole Band & Level: Professional, 5\n#LI-Hybrid #LI-ASO\nNot The Perfect Fit?\nConcerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
