The program is global and across all divisions and applications. There is a desire to move towards faster, safer and more automated product delivery at scale. A key part of this program is to deliver automated CI/CD pipelines, increase developer productivity, shift left many of the traditional practices and deliver more change into production more reliably.\nThe candidate will be leading this uplift and modernization of engineering capabilities around automation of development, testing and production delivery for TP ICAPs platforms. The candidate will provide hands-on as well as thought leadership in designing this strategy as well as executing with a combination of internal and external teams over the next two years. The candidate is able to educate and influence application development teams globally to adopt new tools and practices, and also demonstrate measurable improvements in productivity, time to market and operational resiliency.\nThe role requires a business minded, highly collaborative, team-focussed experienced DevOps engineer with exceptional communication skills to work with developers and testers in DevOps principles.\nRole Responsibilities\nDesign DevOps modernization and adoption strategy incorporating current industry practices and technologies\n\nEngineer internal tooling to implement automation in software development, testing and production delivery\n\nReduce manual overhead involved in software releases by fully automating delivery pipelines that includes testing\n\nImprove production stability and resiliency through process improvement and adoption of better observability tools\n\nSupport application teams in adopting a consistent set of tools, practices and technology to support an agile delivery model, including automation and incremental delivery of software in test and production environments running in the cloud and on premises\n\nTo operate at scale, engage with vendors and service providers to bring best in class industry practices, speed up internal build as well as accelerate companywide adoption of new tools and practices\n\nAssist and architect where appropriate solutions using containerisation and serverless technologies\n\nDrive automation for environment management, logging and monitoring\n\nTo fulfil any additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.\n\nExperience / Competences\nBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science\n\nOver 5-10 yrs experience in practising and leading DevOps practice in leading Financial or Technology companies\n\nDemonstrated experience leading and executing transformation programs involving significant uplift of DevOps and SDLC automation capabilities\n\nExperience delivering measurable process and productivity improvements via DevOps investments and driving a metrics driven practice of continuous improvement\n\nIntimately familiar with modern DevOps and SRE principles\n\nDeep and broad experience of AWS Cloud platform and services (Azue or GCP also considered)\n\nPrevious experience in automating and integrating Testing into CI/CD pipelines (unit, integration, smoke testing)\n\nPrevious experience working in development teams using Agile methodologies (e.g. SAFe) and practising Lean Delivery principles\n\nKnowledge of third-party automation tools and technologies with relative pros and cons for all stages of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines and observability\n\nPlatforms; Windows Server, Amazon Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu\n\nProficiency in at least one of the following scripting languages; Python, GO, PowerShell, Bash, Groovy\n\nProgramming language with a working knowledge in at least one of Java, C# (.NET Framework/Core), JavaScript (Node.js), Ruby, C++\n\nDeveloper tooling; Full stack CI/CD, GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQubeNexus\n\nKnowledge and working experience of containerising application components including writing DockerFiles and deploying to Kubernetes\n\nDeep understanding of pipelines as code\n\nObservability concepts and tooling; Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch\n\nBand & Level - Manager, 6\n#LI-MID #LI-Hybrid\nNot The Perfect Fit?\nConcerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
