We work as one to achieve our vision of being the world’s most trusted, innovative, liquidity and data solutions specialist.\nRole Overview\nThe Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) works within an Agile delivery team to ensure software quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle. The role is responsible for contributing to test planning, test automation, functional and non-functional testing, and supporting continuous quality improvement across products and platforms.\nWorking closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers and other QA engineers, the QAE helps deliver reliable, scalable and high-quality software. The role emphasizes a shift-left testing approach, automated testing, API validation, and the effective use of AI-assisted testing tools to improve efficiency and coverage.\nRole Responsibilities\nContribute to test planning, test design and execution activities within Agile delivery teams.\n\nDevelop, execute and maintain automated test suites for UI, API and integration testing.\n\nCollaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.\n\nSupport Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) practices within the team.\n\nIdentify, document and track defects through to resolution.\n\nExecute functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing activities.\n\nParticipate in CI/CD pipelines and contribute to automated quality gates.\n\nApply AI-assisted development and testing tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Amazon Q or equivalent) to improve test design, automation and productivity.\n\nMonitor test results and provide clear reporting on quality metrics and test progress.\n\nAssist in performance, load and non-functional testing activities.\n\nHelp identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and improve testing efficiency.\n\nPromote quality best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team.\n\nCollaborate effectively with local and global team members to support successful product delivery.\n\nExperience / Competences\nEssential\n2-5 years' experience in software testing and quality assurance.\n\nExperience executing manual and automated testing activities within Agile teams.\n\nWorking knowledge of UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or equivalent.\n\nExperience using test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and Zephyr.\n\nProficient programming or scripting skills in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript or similar languages.\n\nKnowledge of API testing concepts and tools.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and source control platforms such as GitLab, TeamCity or Jenkins.\n\nExperience writing and maintaining test cases, test plans and test evidence.\n\nUnderstanding software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.\n\nEffective communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.\n\nAbility to manage priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.\n\nExperience using AI-assisted tooling to support testing, automation, documentation and troubleshooting activities.\n\n· Takes ownership of assigned work and follows tasks through to completion.\n· Demonstrates a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.\n· Builds effective working relationships across technology and business teams.\n· Contributes positively to team success and knowledge sharing.\n· Champions quality and promotes best practice across the software delivery lifecycle.\n· Shows initiative in adopting new tools, technologies and approaches, including AI-enabled testing capabilities.\nDesired\nExposure to financial services, trading platforms or capital markets technology.\n\nKnowledge of FIX protocol, electronic trading or trade lifecycle workflows.\n\nExperience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.\n\nExposure to performance and non-functional testing tools such as K6 or JMeter.\n\nUnderstanding of cloud technologies such as AWS.\n\nISTQB Foundation or equivalent testing qualification.\n\nExposure to microservices and distributed system architectures.\n\nJob Band & Level\nProfessional, 5\n\n#NIJobs #LI-Hybrid #LI-ASO\nNot The Perfect Fit?\nConcerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
