There will be a focus on continuous integration and deployment.\nRole Overview\nAs a Senior Software Engineer at TP ICAP you will be part of a talented team delivering business critical software for the internal broking division and their external customer base.\nYou will work within an Agile environment, from design through to implementation, with a strong focus on Continuous Improvement whilst working collaboratively as part of self-organising, cross-functional team. There will be a focus on continuous integration and deployment.\nRole Responsibilities\nWork closely with the Architect/Principal to build solutions that align to the IT strategy/vision.\nProvide support and mentoring to other members of the team.\nWork in partnership with QA counterpart to ensure the delivery of quality software.\nPromote delivery of quality software - unit tests, code reviews etc.\nExperiment with multiple technologies and methodologies as part of delivery, to help guarantee the best solution and approach.\nDeliver against both Functional and Non-functional requirements.\nTake Ownership/Accountability for development of key features and drive to completion.\nCommunicate effectively on progress and ensure impediments are raised early to minimise impact on the delivery.\nExperience / Competences\nEssential\nDegree or +7 years equivalent industry experience, preferred financial or trading systems.\nExpert in recent and latest versions using Visual Studio for C# development. \nSkilled in relational databases (e.g., MSSQL Server, MySQL), including schema design and optimization. \nDemonstrable experience in message and event-based asynchronous messaging. \nCapable of writing and maintaining a distributed real-time system. \nSkilled in designing components of a distributed system. \nKnowledge and use of AWS (or a similar cloud platform), including deployment and management of assets. \nFamiliarity with Gitlabs/GitHub, CI/CD build pipelines, and package management. \nKnowledgeable in Jira or similar issue management system. \nAdept at Agile working practices, strong communication including collaboration with local and remote team members. \nAppreciation of the full SDLC, proactive involvement in shaping the delivery prior and during development, through QA phase, and post-release support. \nExcellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive and independent approach to problem solving and innovative solutions. \nDelivery-focused and pragmatic, capable of working on multiple tasks simultaneously and managing deadlines. \nCritically evaluate and offer challenge to design or approach to achieve the best outcome for the project. \nDelivering a proof of concept (POC) to the required level of detail to validate an approach. \nExperience in building scalable and maintainable automated testing solutions for complex systems\nDesired\nBackground and experience of financial/ trading platforms and knowledge of financial markets\nKnowledge of FIX protocol and ability to handle FIX interactions. \nUnderstanding of Java and JavaScript. \nIn-depth knowledge of AWS services.\nExperience with serverless architecture and microservices.\nExperience with TDD, BDD or similar approaches to specifying requirements and design.\nJob Band and Level: Manager, 6\nNot The Perfect Fit?\nConcerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
