About the Role

We're looking for a Senior UI Engineer to help shape the user experience of our cloud-native travel platform.

You'll build modern, scalable user interfaces used by airlines and travel sellers around the world, working closely with Product Managers, Designers and Backend Engineers to create intuitive, high-performance applications.This role is ideal for engineers who care about frontend architecture, performance, usability and writing maintainable code. You'll help evolve our frontend platform while contributing to technical decisions, engineering standards and the overall user experience.

Our frontend stack includes React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Next.js, Redux, REST APIs and modern frontend tooling, and we're continuously evolving our platform as our products and customer base grow.

AI-enhanced development

We use Claude AI coding assistants as part of our everyday engineering workflow to increase productivity and reduce repetitive work. Our engineers use AI to explore technical solutions, accelerate implementation, debug complex issues, generate and improve tests, create documentation and support code reviews. We believe AI helps engineers focus on solving meaningful technical problems-not repetitive tasks.

While AI helps us move faster, great software is still built by great engineers. Engineering judgement, critical thinking and ownership remain at the core of everything we build.

What you'll do

• Design, build and maintain modern React applications.

• Develop new user-facing features while improving the performance and maintainability of existing applications.

• Optimise frontend performance, rendering efficiency and application responsiveness.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and Backend Engineers to deliver intuitive user experiences.

• Help define frontend architecture, coding standards and engineering best practices.

• Perform code reviews and contribute to improving overall code quality.

• Investigate complex UI issues and continuously improve the user experience.

• Share knowledge and help grow frontend engineering across the team.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of professional experience building modern web applications.

• Strong experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Experience with modern state management solutions (Redux, Context API or similar).

• Experience building scalable, responsive user interfaces.

• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimisation.

• Experience integrating REST APIs.

• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or similar.

• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices.

• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js or Node.js.

• Experience with Docker or AWS.

• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience in travel technology.

• Curiosity about AI-assisted software development.
