Maintains material certification and receiving inspection records.\nWorks with Purchasing in handling of supplier evaluations and non-conformances.\nConducts qualification activities for new tooling and parts.\nIdentifies/investigates non-conformances and drives to root cause. Plays active role in continuous improvement.\nConducts and/or coordinates various product tests.\nWrite/revise documents required for quality related items.\nSupports Engineering Change Request implementation and configuration management.\nAll other duties and special projects as assigned.\nEducation/ Skills/ Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, ASQ certification is a plus\nTraining and experience in field of quality, such as ISO 9001, SPC, Metrology and Internal Auditing. GL certification highly desirable. ISO Lead Auditor is a plus.\nComposites or injection molding experience a plus.\nMinimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing quality.\nAble to understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.\nUnderstands principles of metrology and calibration.\nCapable of performing advanced math and statistical calculations.\nFamiliarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).\nLean Manufacturing experience.\nProject Management: ability to organize and manage multiple projects.\nComputer proficiency including MS Office and Minitab.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.\nPhysical Skills and Abilities:\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
