Both shifts have shift differential pay.\nJob Title: Process Technician\nReporting Relationships: Production Manager and Plant Manager\nResponsibilities and Authorities:\nAs a Process Technician Lead you'll be at the forefront of our manufacturing operations, with responsibilities that include:\nSetting up and initiating existing processes using Plasman's methodology, while applying critical thinking skills to resolve processing issues.\nQualifying molds, implementing mold revisions, and managing prototype molds through various tryouts until they are deemed production-ready.\nEvaluating established molds and processes, recommending changes or revisions for potential production improvements, justifying changes, and collaborating with relevant support departments.\nDeveloping and documenting all pertinent information related to qualification and the establishment of production processes. This includes specifications for molds, cycles, auxiliary equipment, part handling, packaging, and secondary operations.\nTroubleshooting molding machine deficiencies, recommending probable changes or repairs, and working with appropriate support departments to implement these changes.\nApplying PPAP and TS procedures to maintain quality standards.\nInvestigating customer complaints and product rejects, implementing and verifying corrective actions to ensure acceptable quality and profitability.\nEvaluating new equipment as directed, keeping us at the forefront of technology.\nInvestigating and recommending new manufacturing techniques for process improvements, contributing to our continuous innovation.\nActively participating in pre-design, design review, and pre-production meetings to shape the future of our products.\nDeveloping and conducting on-the-job training for manufacturing personnel as assigned, helping to build a skilled and knowledgeable team.\nApplying all lean manufacturing principles to new and existing processes, including 5S, takt time, kanban, standard work, quick change set-up, and continuous improvements.\nPerforming other duties as assigned, ensuring that our team works together seamlessly.\nHealth & Safety Responsibilities:\nWe take the health and safety of our team seriously. The Process Technician must comply with the Company's Health & Safety Program, including Occupational Health & Safety Legislation, regulations, standards, and Company Health & Safety policies.\nMinimum Education and/or Designation Requirements:\nTo thrive in this role, you should have:\nA High School diploma or GED\nTechnical training in injection molding\nMinimum Work Experience Requirements:\nWe're looking for candidates with:\nExperience in thermoplastic injection molding set-up and processing\nMinimum Training Requirements:\nYou should also have:\nA thorough understanding of molding machine principles and functions.\nKnowledge of plastic resins and their various processing differences.\nProficiency in troubleshooting molding processes and resin capabilities.\nA basic understanding of mold design and function.\nFamiliarity with tooling fundamentals, process controllers, heat history of material flow (rheology).\nCompetency in using word processing and spreadsheet software.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nWorking Environment and Other Requirements:\nIn this role, you'll be working with various materials and equipment.
