Join our Broadcast team in Ghent and help prepare Philips TV software for operator certification.\nYou’ll work with test and development teams to check software before it is sent to external certification labs. When an issue appears, you’ll help reproduce it, document what happened and work with developers to verify the fix. You’ll also use Python and our in-house Jarvis system to automate testing.\nThis is an early-career opportunity. You don’t need to arrive with broadcast expertise: experienced colleagues will help you learn the TV and certification landscape as you grow into greater ownership.\nWhat you will do\nReview operator requirements and test specifications, and turn them into clear test cases.\nPrepare test environments and run certification and validation tests.\nTest software before it is submitted for certification.\nUse Python and our Jarvis system to automate test cases and repetitive tasks.\nReproduce and analyse issues reported by operators or certification labs.\nDocument bugs clearly, including relevant test conditions and supporting information, and share them with development teams.\nFollow up with developers as they investigate issues, then verify fixes and carry out regression tests.\nWork with certification colleagues, testers and developers across locations, and occasionally help clarify findings with external labs.\nGradually take ownership of selected certification activities and contribute ideas to improve our tools and processes.\nWhat do you need to succeed?\nMust have\nA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, ICT, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering with a computer science focus, Electronics Engineering with a strong software interest, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent training or relevant experience is also welcome.\nBasic Python knowledge and an interest in using it to build or improve software solutions.\nFluent English, written and spoken, for collaboration and technical documentation.\nAn analytical, structured approach to solving problems, with the patience to investigate and reproduce technical issues.\nCuriosity about software, technology and testing, and the motivation to learn a new technical domain.\nClear communication skills and a collaborative approach. You’re comfortable working independently while keeping colleagues informed.\nOpenness to using AI tools to work efficiently.\nRecent graduates and candidates at the beginning of their careers are encouraged to apply.\nThis will give you an additional advantage\nExperience or familiarity with Linux.\nExposure to software testing, validation or test automation.\nHands-on use of AI-assisted development tools.\nAn interest in broadcast technology, DVB or satellite technology.\nSome knowledge of operator certification or the TV industry.\nWhat we offer\nA hybrid working model, with regular time in our Ghent office.
