# Field Application Engineer - Philips TV

What the role is about Do you enjoy figuring out how software works, testing how it performs and getting to the bottom of technical issues? Join our Broadcast team in Ghent and help prepare Philips TV software for operator certification. You’ll work with test and development teams to check software before it is sent to external certification labs. When an issue appears, you’ll help reproduce it, document what happened and work with developers to verify the fix. You’ll also use Python and our in-house Jarvis system to automate testing. This is an early-career opportunity. You don’t need to arrive with broadcast expertise: experienced colleagues will help you learn the TV and certification landscape as you grow into greater ownership. What you will do Review operator requirements and test specifications, and turn them into clear test cases. Prepare test environments and run certification and validation tests.
