Business Analyst with Japanese
Our Client is an international organization delivering data-driven initiatives that support better visibility, decision-making, and optimization of business processes across global operations.
The project focuses on developing analytical and reporting solutions built around Power BI, data integration, and cloud technologies. The scope includes translating complex business needs into functional requirements, defining reporting and data logic, and supporting the delivery of solutions based on reliable and well-structured data.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with Japanese who can take ownership of the analytical workstream, collaborate with international stakeholders, and act as a bridge between business expectations and technical delivery teams.
Cooperation Model: 100% remote
Availability: The project offers a flexible cooperation model and can accommodate both full-time and part-time engagement, depending on availability and project allocation
WHAT WILL YOU BE WORKING ON?
- Leading the analysis of business needs and translating them into clear, structured functional requirements for Power BI solutions
- Defining expectations for data models, business rules, calculations, dashboard behavior, visualizations, and user interactions
- Cooperating closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, challenge assumptions, and turn them into actionable requirements for technical teams
- Supporting data integration and ETL initiatives by defining data requirements, mappings, dependencies, and expected outcomes
- Collaborating with Data, BI and Engineering teams working within the Azure ecosystem
- Supporting analytical initiatives related to spend visibility, classification and categorization of expenditures, and procurement data
- Coordinating requirements across multiple stakeholders and ensuring consistency between business objectives and delivered solutions
- Taking ownership of the analysis stream and providing guidance in areas requiring senior-level business and functional expertise
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Must have:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Business Analysis, ideally within data, analytics, BI, or reporting-focused projects
- Previous experience acting as a Lead Business Analyst or taking ownership of an analytical workstream within complex projects
- Strong experience in gathering, structuring, validating, and translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications
- Practical experience with Power BI projects and a good understanding of data models, calculation logic, dashboards, reporting requirements, and user interactions
- Good understanding of ETL processes, data flows, and integration between source systems and analytical platforms
- Experience working with solutions based on Azure
- Practical knowledge of spend analysis, spend classification and categorization, and procurement analytics
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders in an international environment
- Very good command of English and Japanese, enabling professional communication with project stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Experience working on international data transformation or BI initiatives
- Background in projects involving complex reporting environments and multiple data sources
- Experience coordinating requirements across geographically distributed teams
