Our diverse technical strengths span emerging wireless innovations and engineering support to the armed services.\nTRABUS has been recognized on the Inc. 5000 list over the years, reflecting our continued growth and commitment to delivering innovative, mission-focused solutions to our customers.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nTRABUS has an opportunity for a Mid-Level Software Integration & Test Engineer to drive end-to-end software integration, automated regression testing, and final system validation for next-generation Software-Defined Radio (SDR) wireless mesh networking systems. In this role, you will design rigorous test cases, build automated test suites for embedded radio controls and REST APIs, and validate complex mesh networks from early software integration through final release verification.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test procedures covering functional, performance, security, and edge-case scenarios for embedded software, REST APIs, and wireless mesh networks.\nBuild, expand, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Python, PyTest, Robot Framework, or shell scripting integrated into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous software stability.\nCollaborate with software, RF, and hardware engineers to integrate embedded control software, low-level SDR firmware, RESTful microservices, and database layers into unified deployment candidates.\nSet up and conduct lab-based RF channel simulation, network impairment testing, hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testbeds, and field testing to evaluate dynamic topology discovery and key performance metrics, including throughput, latency, and packet loss.\nIdentify, reproduce, document, and track software defect reports using issue tracking systems such as Jira.\nValidate system readiness, generate verification reports, and approve software builds for final production delivery.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n3-5 years of dedicated software testing and system integration experience.\nStrong proficiency in Python for building automated test suites, interacting with REST APIs, and parsing log file streams.\nSolid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, socket communications, and experience using packet analyzers such as Wireshark to inspect traffic flow and diagnose network issues.\nExperience validating software on embedded Linux platforms, microcontrollers, or Software-Defined Radio (SDR) hardware setups.\nHands-on experience testing REST APIs and microservices using tools such as Postman, PyTest, or custom script suites.\nU.S. Citizenship is required due to defense/government compliance requirements.\nAbility to obtain a Security Clearance is required.\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions and Docker containerization.\nExposure to RF instrumentation, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, or channel simulators, or SDR frameworks such as GNU Radio.\nFamiliarity with dynamic mesh routing protocols such as OLSR or BATMAN-adv, or hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) environments.\nEDUCATION\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\nBENEFITS\nPaid Time Off\nHolidays\nHealth Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nFlexible Spending Account\n401(k)\nLife & AD&D Insurance\nEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY\nTrabus Technologies is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
