We appreciate the individuality of the people around us.\nJOB SUMMARY:\nThe Data and Analytics Engineer Intern will assist in designing, building, and testing data platforms and analytics solutions, including preparing trusted data for AI-enabled applications, to generate actionable insights for our customers.\nWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN:\nThe challenges modern businesses are facing with data and how to address them with leading-edge technology solutions\nHow to break down complex data problems and solve them by designing simplified, achievable solutions\nHow organizations can leverage data to gain a competitive advantage by extracting patterns from large datasets\nHow to build and test data pipelines that prepare structured and unstructured data for analytics and AI use cases\nPartner with our Data & Analytics Team to determine appropriate approaches to data ingestion, structure, storage, and quality, then help implement and validate these solutions\nContribute ideas on how to make our customers’ data more valuable and work with members of Trace3’s Engineering Team to implement solutions\nHow data quality, metadata, and governance support reliable analytics and AI-enabled applications\nHow to use AI-assisted development tools to support SQL, Python, testing, and documentation while validating outputs and protecting customer data\nELIGIBILITY AND PREFERRED SKILLS:\nEnrollment in the Junior or Senior year of an undergraduate program or master’s program at an accredited college or university\nCandidates should be pursuing a field of study applicable to the Data & Analytics internship\nCumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better; People and Organizational Health may require a copy of the applicant’s transcript\nAcademic or professional/internship experience working in a professional setting is a plus\nFoundational knowledge of SQL or Python, data transformation, data modeling, or data visualization through coursework, personal projects, or prior experience is a plus\nExposure to cloud data platforms, notebooks, Git-based version control, or APIs is a plus\nInterest in AI-enabled analytics and familiarity with data quality, metadata, privacy, and responsible use of AI tools; coursework or personal projects are welcome\nAbility to work independently on assigned tasks and accepts direction on given assignments\nSelf-motivated individuals with a customer mindset and desire to help people\nEnthusiasm for technical problem solving with attention to detail and strong communication skills\nAbility to learn and research in a dynamic and engaging environment\nAvailability to work 40 hours per week throughout the internship\nActual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
