Our initial focus is maritime, with applications across manufacturing, aerospace, and defence.\nWe combine document intelligence with S1000D authoring to help technical teams extract maintenance information, create documentation, and verify AI-generated suggestions against their sources.\nYour roleYou will own the AI capabilities behind our document intelligence platform—from understanding complex PDFs to extracting information that engineers can review and use.\nWhat you’ll doBuild pipelines for document parsing, OCR, layout understanding, and extraction from text, tables, and diagrams.\n\nDevelop retrieval and AI workflows for technical question answering and maintenance information extraction.\n\nDesign structured outputs with validation and references to source documents.\n\nBuild evaluation datasets and measure extraction accuracy, retrieval quality, and unsupported outputs.\n\nImprove model performance, processing speed, and cost across cloud and private deployments.\n\nWork with product and engineering colleagues to bring prototypes into production.\n\nWhat you bringExperience delivering AI or machine learning systems into production.\n\nStrong Python and software engineering skills.\n\nPractical experience with LLMs, structured extraction, retrieval, and evaluation.\n\nAn understanding of document processing challenges, including imperfect scans and complex layouts.\n\nThe ability to investigate failures systematically and make clear technical trade-offs.\n\nClear communication in English.\n\nUseful additional experienceTechnical manuals, industrial documentation\n\nMultimodal models, open-source model deployment, or GPU inference.\n\nPrivate, on-premises, or restricted-network environments.\n\nWhy join Tracium?Help shape the core AI architecture of an early-stage product, work directly with the founders, and solve document problems with clear operational value.\nApplySend your CV or professional profile and a brief example of an AI system you have built.
