And we need you to help run and scale it.\n\nAs an SRE, you will join our Europe-based team and be part of a global SRE organization spanning Europe and Canada. This is a hands-on role focused on the daily operation and continuous improvement of our platform, with room to grow into larger design and architecture work as you build depth.\n\nThe platform owned by SRE consists of an AWS cloud, Kubernetes clusters (EKS), and our IaC setup running Terraform and Terramate, as well as a GitOps delivery platform built on Argo CD and Atlantis.\n\nWe support engineering teams with 150+ developers. You will help keep a platform used by 15,000+ active users every day secure, available, and easy to build on.\n\nWe're looking for someone curious and collaborative — happy to share knowledge and ask questions as well.\n\nExperience level: roughly 2–5 years in an SRE, DevOps, platform, or infrastructure operations role. If you're further along and the day-to-day scope appeals to you, apply anyway — we'll have the conversation.\n\nWith locations in the heart of Copenhagen, Kolding, Aarhus, and Aalborg, we offer a flexible setup with the possibility to work from one of our locations — or remotely from anywhere in Denmark.\n\n**What's in it for you?\n\n**\n\nInternational environment with regular check-ins and social events across teams, departments and borders.\n\nWe take your personal and professional development goals seriously and we support them through training, coaching, and mindfulness as well as with an open feedback culture to enable you to identify your strengths and opportunities.\n\nFlexibility and hybrid working is not just a cliché to us or something we state in a job posting. We offer a flexible setup because we believe you know best how to structure your work. Once you have chosen how you work best, let us know what you need: we got you covered with the IT equipment you need for your work.\n\nTurning the Tide. At Trackunit, we aim to create and contribute to an inclusive workplace. And this priority starts with our hiring — we do not discriminate on the basis of gender identity, sexual orientation, personal expression, ethnicity, religious belief, or disability status. We only assess candidates on their qualifications and merit. Learn more about TIDE and other DE&I initiatives here.\n\n**What You'll Do\n\n**Your week will be a mix of keeping things running well and making them better.\n\nOperate and improve the platform. Monitoring, alerting, capacity, cost, and the steady stream of small improvements that keep a large AWS and Kubernetes estate healthy.\n\nWork in code, not consoles. Infrastructure changes go through Terraform and Helm, reviewed as pull requests and delivered through Atlantis and Argo CD.\n\nKeep the platform secure. Patching, vulnerability remediation, base image updates, and closing findings — a recurring, meaningful part of the job rather than a side task.\n\nTake part in incident response. You'll join our on-call rotation (SRE team, business hours) and contribute to incidents and follow-up work.\n\nHandle triage and requests from developer teams. Understanding what they need, unblocking them, and spotting when a repeated request could be automated.\n\n**Who You Are\n\n**We think you'll need\n\nHands-on experience running workloads on AWS.\n\nBasic knowledge with Kubernetes.\n\nBasic knowledge about infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform.\n\nComfortable with Git, Linux and Windows.\n\nClear written communication — a lot of our work happens in tickets, PRs, and docs.\n\n**Nice to have, not expected\n\n**\n\nEKS specifically, or tooling like Karpenter, Argo CD, Atlantis, or Terramate.\n\nObservability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Sumo Logic, or similar).\n\nScripting in Python or Go.\n\nSecurity or compliance work — vulnerability management, CIS benchmarks, certification programmes.\n\nMulti-region or multi-account AWS architecture.\n\n**What Matters More Than The Checklist\n\n**\n\nYou’re curious and self-driven, while also knowing when to ask for help when needed.\n\nYou finish things. Small, well-tested changes shipped consistently beat big ideas that stall.\n\nYou care about the developers and customers using the platform, not just the platform itself.\n\nOn AI: experience with AI tooling is not a requirement. An interest in working with it is. We already use AI in our daily engineering work — including MCP servers and agents against our own platform — and we expect that to grow. We don’t expect you to have experience with this—but we do expect curiosity and a willingness to learn.\n\nDon't meet every single requirement? No worries — this is what we're looking for ideally, but if you're excited about this role and your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification, we still encourage you to apply.\n\n**How You'll Grow Here\n\n**We hire at this level expecting you to move beyond it, and we've structured the team so that happens on purpose rather than by accident.\n\nA rotation model that protects your focus. The team splits between operational duty and project work, so you're not permanently interrupt-driven. You get real blocks of time to go deep on something.\n\nMentorship that's built in. Senior colleagues review your PRs and pair with you on incidents. Asking questions is the expected behaviour, not a sign you're struggling.\n\nExposure to the big architecture work. You'll start with scoped pieces and take on more as you build context.\n\nA clear conversation about your development. Regular 1:1s that cover where you want to be, not just what you shipped last sprint.\n\n**What We're Building Next\n\n**Trackunit is moving from a SaaS company to a platform built on telemetry data from the construction industry worldwide. For SRE, that means going beyond delivering infrastructure to building the capabilities that let our developers and customers spin up environments tailored to their needs in the regions they need them.\n\n**Things On Our Roadmap Include\n\n**\n\nExpanding the platform into a true multi-region architecture.\n\nBuilding self-service platform capabilities so developer teams move at their own pace.\n\nMaking better use of AI in our own operations, through MCP servers and agents.\n\nYou won't be expected to lead these on day one. You will be in the room, and there will be pieces with your name on them.\n\n**What Happens From Here — Recruitment Process Overview\n\n**\n\nVirtual meet and greet. Meet with a member of our Talent Partner team\n\nPersonality-based interview. You will be asked to complete an online personality assessment prior to the interview. There are no correct answers and we are not trying to categorise you — the aim is a dialogue about the results and Trackunit's culture, so you get to know us better as well.\n\nAssignment-specific interview. You will be given a case to prepare after the initial screening interview. You will present the case to relevant colleagues across Trackunit, who you will also work closely with in the role.\n\nVirtual meet and greet. Meet with Engineering Manager, Kåre Brandborg and an SRE team member.\n\nReferences and background checks (if needed). If required, we will obtain references from former employers and perform level-specific background checks, if you have not provided these yourself.\n\nOffer presentation and walk-through. We're lucky to have you!\n\n**Coming Together To Connect Construction\n\n**We're committed to construction — one of the largest industries in the world. Over the past two decades, Trackunit has been pioneering technological progress within construction. Today, we are not only a leading IoT provider but a thought leader, supporting and shaping the agenda for an entire industry on a global scale.\n\nWe believe in taking a people approach in everything we do. Being human-centric is not restricted to our products — it's a way of life at Trackunit. We're proud to be a truly global team. Our colleagues get together in hubs spread across the globe, but we embrace the idea of working remotely and in environments that inspire you. Everything we do, we do it to eliminate downtime and build the most useful industry for the world.\n\nThe question is: Are you in?","description_format":"text","description_chars":8287,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Hybrid work","Professional development"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Denmark","iso":"DK","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Fleet Management","Marketplaces","IoT Platforms & Solutions"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-11T07:28:46Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":72,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.801,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":10,"expected_fill_days":28,"reasons":["seen:10","win:mid"],"computed_at":"2026-10-12T06:55:09Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/trackunit-site-reliability-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/trackunit-site-reliability-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-12T07:05:01Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":11389,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-13T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":55396},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=55396"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Ftrackunit-site-reliability-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Ftrackunit-site-reliability-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Ftrackunit-site-reliability-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/trackunit-site-reliability-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Ftrackunit-site-reliability-engineer"}]}
