You’ll work directly with maintenance technicians, mechanics, electricians, reliability engineers, and plant leadership to install, configure, and successfully implement Tractian’s hardware and software solutions.\nThis is a field-based role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with industrial equipment, and interacting directly with customers. You’ll visit manufacturing and industrial facilities, evaluate equipment, develop installation plans, install sensors and gateways, troubleshoot technical issues, train customers, and ensure projects are completed safely and successfully.\nFSEs are expected to take ownership of their projects, work independently in the field, and represent Tractian professionally at customer sites.\nResponsibilities\nLead onsite installations and implementations of Tractian’s hardware and software solutions.\nEvaluate customer facilities and equipment to develop sensor deployment and installation plans.\nInstall, configure, and commission vibration sensors, gateways, and related hardware.\nWork directly with maintenance, reliability, engineering, operations, and plant leadership teams.\nTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hardware, software, connectivity, and installation issues.\nIndependently manage onsite projects and make appropriate technical decisions in the field.\nTrain customers on Tractian’s technology and implementation best practices.\nBuild strong relationships with customers and serve as a trusted technical resource.\nCoordinate project execution with internal teams, customer stakeholders, contractors, and onsite resources.\nManage installations from initial site assessment through completion.\nDocument project activities, installations, equipment information, and customer interactions in CRM systems.\nFollow customer safety requirements, site procedures, and Tractian installation standards.\nRequirements\nHands-on experience in field service, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, reliability, mechanical, electrical, automation, heavy equipment, or a related technical field.\nExperience installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, or servicing industrial equipment or rotating equipment.\nStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude with demonstrated problem-solving skills.\nExperience working in manufacturing, industrial, or other technical environments.\nAbility to interpret technical documentation, equipment manuals, schematics, or installation instructions.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple projects, and make sound technical decisions in the field.\nStrong communication and customer-facing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and train customers.\nAbility to comply with customer safety requirements and applicable site procedures.\nProficiency with technical documentation and CRM software.\nAbility and willingness to travel 50% throughout North America weekly.\nBonus Points\nCertifications in electrical, mechanical, or related fields.\nExperience with vibration analysis, vibration monitoring, or predictive maintenance. \nCompensation & Benefits\nCompetitive Compensation\nPremium Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage\nPaid Time Off (PTO): 15 Days\n401(k) Retirement Plan\nWellhub Membership -
