Reliability mechanics are also responsible for the execution of mechanical tasks through the production lines.\nThis position will be located in Bristol, PA and reports to the Reliability Leader.\nResponsibilities\nFollow safe work procedures in the operation of tools and equipment proper of their duties as pipe fitter/mechanic. • Relays pertinent technical information to co-workers and supervisor.\nDetermine list of materials and parts to execute the work. • Drives a forklift. • Maintains good housekeeping of work areas. • Supports Behavior Based Safety process by performing observations. • Supports Loss Control policy, ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 management systems. • Will climb ladders and work outside in all weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE including SCBA respirator. • Will work on a 8 hour shift schedule (requires emergency plant support after hours).\nQualifications\nPro-skill to take and determine dimensions, angles and radios of piping systems.\nExperience troubleshooting pumps, mechanical seals and manufacturing equipment's.\nDesirable experience with rigging and installing machinery.\nExperience using different metal cut techniques like grinder disc, oxygen cut, pipe cutter, etc.\nPro-efficient using rotary tools and hand tools.\nGood knowledge identifying pipe schedule and material, fitting types and pressure rates, valve class, types and materials.\nInterpretation of drawings & isometrics.\nGood skills to work, built and repair threaded pipe and accessories\nHS Diploma or GED is required• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical industry preferred\nBasic skills in MS Office and excellent interpersonal skills are expected\nAbility to multitask with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy is key to success in this role","description_format":"text","description_chars":2033,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"high_school","optional":true},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Consumer Electronics","Transportation & Logistics","Business Development"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T09:01:25Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":26,"reasons":["conf:0","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-09-23T13:13:28Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/trade-ready-industrial-mechanic-bristol-pa","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/trade-ready-industrial-mechanic-bristol-pa.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-23T13:13:28Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
