Make an impact!\nTradebe is seeking to add an electrical apprentice to our team in Heysham. Responsible for supporting qualified electricians with the installation, repair, and upkeep of electrical systems. In this role, you’ll develop the ability to interpret blueprints, run and secure wiring, and connect a variety of electrical components. You’ll also be required to adhere to all safety standards and regulations while working on active job sites.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nAssist in electrical installation - Support electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment across residential, commercial, or industrial sites.\n\nInterpret technical documents - Learn to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to support accurate project execution.\n\nInstall electrical components - Help with fitting switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical devices under supervision.\n\nUse tools safely - Develop proficiency with hand and power tools required for electrical work, ensuring proper handling and care.\n\nTest and troubleshoot systems - Assist in diagnosing issues, performing tests, and identifying faults in electrical systems and equipment.\n\nFollow safety standards - Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in compliance with industry regulations, codes, and company policies.\n\nMaintain work areas - Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of hazards.\n\nCommunicate with the team - Work effectively with electricians, apprentices, and supervisors to support smooth project operations.\n\nDevelop trade skills - Continuously build knowledge and hands-on skills as you progress through the electrical apprenticeship program.\n\nDo you have what it takes?\nThe successful applicant will:-\n\nDemonstrate the required mechanical, numerical and verbal reasoning to undertake an apprenticeship.\nDemonstrable curiosity and willingness to learn.\nBasic understanding of electrical theory and principles.\nBasic knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures.\nWhat’s in for you?\nCompetitive salary of £26,437 \nContributory Pension\nFlexible benefits (access to our benefits platform for discounts and cash back on shopping purchases, gyms and leisure activities, cycle to work scheme and dedicated wellbeing centre)\nReady to make a difference?
