Join us in this dynamic location to be part of shaping a sustainable future.\nOpportunity Highlights\nLocation: East Chicago, IN\nShift: 2nd Shift | Mon-Fri | 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM\nPay: $22-$23.50/hr based on experience + $0.50 per hour shift differential\nDevelop hands-on experience working with a diverse range of chemicals and hazardous materials.\nPaid Weekly!\nWhat will you do? Make an impact!\nAs a Lab Pack Plant Chemist, you will be receiving, identifying, and de-packing lab packs as they enter the facility.\nKey Job Responsibilities:\nReceive, identify, sort, and de-pack lab pack materials in a fast-paced industrial hazardous waste processing facility.\nApply chemistry knowledge to classify, characterize, and safely manage a wide variety of chemical and hazardous waste streams.\nPerform bulk consolidations, material transfers, sampling activities, and container management in accordance with environmental regulations and company procedures.\nPrepare, package, label, and document hazardous waste shipments for transportation, treatment, recycling, and disposal.\nComplete regulatory documentation and maintain compliance with EPA, DOT, OSHA, and company requirements.\nConduct routine inspections of work areas, containers, and equipment to ensure safe and compliant operations.\nSupport spill response activities and contribute to a strong culture of environmental, health, and safety excellence.\nDo you have what it takes?\nBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.\nPrevious experience working with chemicals, hazardous materials, laboratory operations, or environmental services is preferred.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify, classify, and document materials.\nAbility to work safely in an industrial environment while following established safety procedures and utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nComfortable performing hands-on work, including material handling, sampling, packaging, and waste management activities.\nForklift experience is a plus, but not required.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to read, write, and understand English.\nAbility to work the assigned schedule and perform all duties on-site.\nWhat’s in for you?\nWhy Tradebe is Right for You\nCompetitive pay and benefits\nStudent loan repayment assistance\nGenerous vacation and sick plans\nMedical (including telehealth), dental and vision\n401k Retirement match\nFlexible spending accounts (FSA)\nHealth savings accounts (HSA)\nAgency paid, basic life and AD&D insurance\nCareer ladders, professional development, and promotion opportunities\nLeadership opportunities\nGreat work environment and culture\nAnd MORE!\nReady to make a difference?
