If you want to build systems where performance actually matters, where a slow order execution is a real problem for real traders, this is a good place to do it.\nAbout the Role\nThe Tradeify Platform team owns the backend and infrastructure that the entire business runs on today: trading accounts, evaluations, integrations with third-party trading platforms, and the APIs and services other teams (including product surfaces like Arcnine) build on top of. This is a live, revenue-generating system, not a greenfield build.\nWe are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead this team. You'll partner closely with Product, Data, and other Engineering teams to keep the platform reliable and fast while extending it to support new integrations and features. You'll report to the CTO, and this is a remote role.\nWhat You Will Do\nHire, onboard, and grow a team of backend and full-stack engineers.\n\nRun regular 1:1s, set clear goals, and give direct, useful feedback.\n\nOwn performance management for your team, including calibration and hard conversations when needed.\n\nPartner with Product to scope and prioritize platform and integration work.\n\nGuide architecture decisions for scalable APIs, backend services, and microservices supporting third-party trading platform integrations (NinjaTrader, Tradovate, and others).\n\nStay hands-on with the code: review pull requests, weigh in on design docs, and unblock engineers on hard problems.\n\nOwn delivery, including sprint planning, tracking progress, and keeping commitments realistic against a live production system.\n\nDrive up code quality, testing standards, and CI/CD practices across the team.\n\nOwn production reliability and observability, and lead incident response for systems the whole business depends on.\n\nContribute to engineering standards and hiring practices at the broader Tradeify org level.\n\nHelp shape how the broader engineering team hires, onboards, and operates.\n\nRepresent the platform team's work, constraints, and technical debt tradeoffs in cross-functional planning.\n\nWhat You Bring\nPrior experience managing or leading engineers, in addition to hands-on engineering experience.\n\nFull-stack or backend engineering background (React, Next.js, or Vue on the frontend; Python, Node.js, C#, or Go on the backend).\n\nExperience with REST APIs, WebSocket services, and third-party platform integrations.\n\nFamiliarity with relational and/or in-memory data stores (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB).\n\nExperience running production systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure with Docker/Kubernetes.\n\nComfort operating and scaling distributed systems that are already in production and load-bearing.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.\n\nNice To Have\nBackground in fintech, trading, or crypto.\n\nExperience with real-time systems and event-driven architectures (Kafka, NATS, or Pulsar).\n\nFamiliarity with TimescaleDB or ClickHouse.\n\nExperience managing platform or infrastructure teams that support other product teams internally.\n\nExperience managing teams that use AI-assisted development tools day to day.\n\nWhy Join Tradeify\nJoin a professional-grade futures and crypto trading firm at a pivotal stage of growth.\n\nBe a foundational member of the team running the platform the entire business depends on.\n\nWork closely with experienced traders across multiple asset classes.\n\nHigh-performance culture that rewards ownership, curiosity, and results.\n\nCompetitive base salary, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.\n\nA Note on Our Hiring Process\nAt Tradeify, we use AI-assisted tools as part of our recruiting process, which may include resume screening, application review, and candidate communication.
