This role ensures the Branch operates in full compliance with the Portuguese Securities Code (CVM), applicable CMVM Regulations and Circulars, EU MiFID II/MiFIR requirements, and T212’s group-wide compliance framework.\nWhat you'll do\nLead the local compliance function to ensure the Portuguese Branch operates in full compliance with the Portuguese Securities Code (CVM), CMVM regulations, and EU MiFID II/MiFIR requirements.\n\nServe as the primary point of contact for CMVM supervisory matters, managing all correspondence, regulatory enquiries, and coordinating on-site inspections.\n\nAdapt group compliance policies and procedures to Portuguese legal requirements, documenting all divergences for approval by the Head of Compliance.\n\nPrepare and submit periodic regulatory reports to the CMVM and notify them of significant events or material changes to the Branch’s business model.\n\nOwn and operate the Branch’s client complaints handling framework, ensuring clients can submit complaints in Portuguese and issuing written responses within the 15-working-day statutory timeframe.\n\nOperate a bifurcated disclosure on the Branch's website and client documents, identifying both the CMVM channel and consumer arbitration centres for alternative dispute resolution.\n\nConduct the Branch’s compliance monitoring programme adapted to CMVM expectations, performing desk-based reviews and reporting findings.\n\nReview all client-facing documentation, marketing materials, and new product launches to ensure compliance with Portuguese language requirements and MiFID II disclosure obligations before release.\n\nWhat you need to have\nBachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Economics or any other relevant field.\n\nAt least 5 years of experience in a compliance function within an investment firm, bank, fintech, capital markets entity, or a regulatory/supervisory authority in Portugal; familiarity with MiFID II compliance monitoring and regulatory reporting is strongly preferred.\n\nKnowledge of Portuguese capital markets law (Código dos Valores Mobiliários), CMVM regulations, and applicable EU regulations (MiFID II/MiFIR, Delegated Regulation 2017/565).\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-performance environment.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nA strong drive for excellence and a continuous improvement mindset.\n\nExcellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nPortuguese language: native or fluent\n\nEnglish language: professional working proficiency\n\nWhat we offer\nChallenges that will help you grow and realize your potential fast.\n\nOpportunity to make a significant impact - you will build innovative services used by millions of investors to build wealth.\n\nWork with smart, spirited, helpful, high-performing colleagues with a common goal.\n\nAn environment where nothing is set in stone.\n\nAppreciation for your talent and ideas.\n\nGenerous remuneration package\n\nBring your ambition to Europe’s fastest-growing mobile broker!\nWe thank all applicants, but only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
