Innovating since 1958, RWS is headquartered in the UK and publicly listed on AIM, the London Stock Exchange regulated market (RWS.L).\nFor further information, please visit: RWS\nJob Overview\nKey Responsibilities\nGather, identify and document business requirements and processes, facilitating clear communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and expectations.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives and deliverables.\nConduct detailed analysis of current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose streamlined solutions.\nCreate use cases, As-Is & To-Be process diagrams and other documentation to support requirements.\nPerform GAP analysis to identify differences between current and desired states.\nWork in close collaboration with project and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood, managed and delivered effectively.\nObtain a thorough understanding of relevant business areas, products and services to recommend appropriate solutions.\nAnalyse root causes of organisational issues and suggest appropriate resolutions.\nBuild trusted relationships with management, SMEs, business sponsors and third parties at different levels within the organisation.\nAssist with Functional and User Acceptance Testing, governance processes and sign-off.\nProvide the link between the customer, solution teams and any third parties regarding software functionality throughout the development lifecycle.\nDay-to-day management of change requests in relation to project and BAU plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met.\nManage the RAID log, ensuring risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies are tracked and escalated appropriately.\nGain and maintain a detailed understanding of the business data model, workflow processes and architecture across key applications.\nAssist in the preparation of business cases, solution designs, system acceptance tests and support handover documentation.\nSkills & Experience\nMinimum 5-7 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, with demonstrable track record delivering medium to large Finance Transformation Projects.\nIn-depth knowledge of requirements documentation techniques, process flow modelling, and business use case development. \nStrong understanding of software development methodologies including Waterfall and Agile, with ability to adapt BA approach to delivery model.Finance Domain Expertise:\nDetailed working knowledge of Finance processes including Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, financial planning, and month-end close.\nExperience working with Finance stakeholders including Finance Directors, Controllers, Accountants, and Finance Operations teams.\nTechnical Skills:\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel (Power Query development), Word, PowerPoint.\nExpert-level process documentation using Microsoft Visio or equivalent process modelling tools (BPMN).\nExperience creating reports and dashboards using multiple data sources and visualization tools.\nStrong data analysis capabilities with ability to manipulate and analyse complex datasets.\nDesirable: Experience with NetSuite, Oracle EPM, GreatPlains or similar enterprise Finance systems.\nProfessional Certifications:\nRelevant professional Business Analysis certification required: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or actively working toward CBAP with minimum ECBA (Entry Certificate in Business Analysis), or BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis or higher.\nCommitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with BA best practices.\nStakeholder Management & Communication:\nExceptional communication skills (written and verbal in English) with ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.\nStrong influencing skills with ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions.\nProven ability to challenge constructively and negotiate trade-offs between competing requirements.\nExperience facilitating workshops, requirements elicitation sessions, and stakeholder alignment meetings.\nAnalytical & Problem-Solving:\nExceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to identify root causes and evaluate solution options.\nStrong problem-solving capability with structured approach to complex business challenges.\nAbility to analyse data, identify patterns and trends, and derive actionable insights.\n\nLife at RWS\nLife at RWS- If you like the idea of working with smart people who are passionate about growing the value of ideas, data and content by making sure organizations are understood, then you’ll love life at RWS.\nOur purpose is to unlock global understanding.
