With throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and China, the company offers progressive & efficient solutions for moving freight by land, sea, and air.\nYour Part in It:\nWorking out of our Miami office, we are looking for our next Ocean Export Coordinator who takes ownership of their shipments, follows through on commitments, and understands the importance of accuracy, communication, and deadlines in freight forwarding.\nOCEAN EXPORT COORDINATOR\nWhat the Job Entails:\nManage ocean export shipments from origin to destination, overseeing the entire shipping process.\nCommunicate directly with shippers, consignees, overseas agents, carriers, and vendors to coordinate shipments.\nArrange ocean freight bookings with steamship lines and co-loaders, ensuring competitive routing and timely departures.\nCoordinate cargo pickups, warehouse deliveries, container loading, and transportation arrangements.\nPrepare, review, and process shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Shipping Instructions, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required export documents.\nPrepare and submit Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings through AES, ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations.\nMonitor shipment milestones, vessel schedules, cutoffs, and departures to ensure timely execution.\nProvide customers and overseas agents with shipment updates and promptly address operational issues.\nEnsure all documentation is accurate and submitted within carrier and regulatory deadlines.\nMaintain accurate shipment records, costs, accruals, and billing information in the operating system.\nReview vendor invoices, process shipment billing, and ensure files are closed accurately and on time.\nWork closely with internal departments, including pricing, sales, warehouse, and accounting.\nIdentify and resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and other operational challenges.\nWhat We Are Looking For:\n1-3 years of experience in ocean export operations within the freight forwarding industry.\nWorking knowledge of ocean export documentation, carrier bookings, and AES filings.\nFamiliarity with FCL and LCL shipments.\nUnderstanding of U.S. export regulations and international shipping procedures.\nCargoWise experience is preferred.\nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.\nProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other standard office applications.\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.\nBilingual -
