The role will require an in-depth understanding of these entities including their business strategies, associated technical accounting and disclosure requirements.\nKey responsibilities\nBalance Sheet Review & Control\nProvide and support input into the end-to-end control and ownership of legal entity balance sheets for the division supported\nDrive the monthly financial close which entails analytical review and sign off of the balance sheet, profit and loss accounts for entities of the specified trading division\nPerform the month end close process including but not limited to revenue recognition checks, stock verification and valuation, debtors aging along with provision review, intercompany & related party balance confirmation\nEnsure strong control framework by implementing and maintaining effective internal controls\nAddress ad hoc requests from various stakeholders and counterparts like consolidation, and regional accounting teams\nCoordinate with multiple teams on matters relating to intercompany settlements, transfer pricing, legal, compliance\nAnalyse impact of various journals and processes on trial balance areas.\nPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual MIS packs, dashboards and KPI reports for management.\nEnsure timely and accurate month-end close inputs and reconciliation of reports.\nAudit\nLiaise with external auditors during the group & statutory audits\nCoordinate with various functions to provide auditable support & evidence to external auditors\nPrepare audit documentations and walkthrough\n\nChange Management\nDrive change projects to support any accounting policy changes or new reporting requirements for the legal entities in scope\nChallenge the current processes for improvement and constantly review processes for efficiencies\nIdentify and escalate control gaps, data discrepancies and process improvement opportunities.\nTax Accounting\nOversee accurate tax accounting, monthly tax provisions and tax-related financial reporting across assigned legal entities.\nEnsure timely preparation, review and filing of corporate income tax returns and compliance with local tax regulations.\nSupport Pillar Two reporting, transfer pricing requirements and intercompany tax assessments.\nCoordinate with tax advisors, manage tax audits and assessments, and monitor tax payments, filing deadlines and overall tax risks \nRequired qualifications\nMinimum 1-3 years experience in Accounting.\nChartered Accountant / post-graduation accounting qualification\nDetermined and able to take end-to-end ownership\nKeen to question and challenge the existing processes with a view of creating reporting efficiencies and improvements\nCan work with multiple data sets, various systems and Excel\nEager to take up fresh challenges and support the team wherever required\nComfortable to work with non-accounting teams for regular activities and projects\nAttributes for success\nStrong interpersonal skills\nEager to take up fresh challenges and support the team wherever required\nDepartment overview\nThe Financial Control & Reporting team operates across various APAC and MEA locations, acting as the entity-level financial reviewer, reporting to the Regional Controller. The team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate accounting, reviewed financial statements, compliance with applicable accounting standards, and effective financial controls across all legal entities.
