You will take your learnings and contribute reusable patterns back to the core AI platform.\nThis is an individual contributor role open across all levels.\nKey responsibilities\nWork closely with the business\nBe a trusted partner with business users to understand their processes and challenges\nHelp turn prototypes into secure, production-ready applications\nPrioritise aggressively to deliver the most impactful work for business partners\nAct as an advisor on AI technology to non-technical users\nBuild and deliver solutions\nDevelop domain-specific applications using the right technology\nBuild APIs, integrations and automated workflows that connect with enterprise systems\nImprove existing solutions by making them scalable, reliable and easy to maintain\nSupport the design of data pipelines and integrations with the Enterprise Data Platform\nContribute learnings and reusable components into the core AI Platform\nAI and automation\nBuild AI-powered workflows using modern AI frameworks and tools\nHarness engineering for Agentic applications including memory, tools, skills and evals\nUse AI development tools to improve engineering productivity and solution quality\nProduction support\nDeploy applications into production with production-grade observability\nInvestigate issues, identify root causes and work with other teams to resolve them\nImprove reliability through testing, monitoring and continuous enhancements\nMaintain documentation and contribute to operational best practices\nSecurity and engineering standards\nBuild applications that meet security and compliance standards\nImplement authentication and role-based access using enterprise identity platforms\nWork with security and platform teams to ensure solutions are ready for production\nCollaboration\nWork with engineers, architects, product teams and business stakeholders\nShare knowledge and contribute reusable components and best practices\nHelp break down business problems into practical technical solutions\nRequired qualifications\nProven experience in software engineering\nExperience building and deploying production applications\nExperience working closely with users or business stakeholders to deliver software solutions\nExperience with enterprise applications, financial services, commodities or other complex business environments is helpful but not essential\nTechnical skills\nPython\nReact\nNode.js\nPostgreSQL or other relational databases\nREST APIs and system integrations\nAWS or another cloud platform\nDocker and CI/CD pipelines\nSQL and data modelling\nTechnical Knowledge\nStrong proficiency in Python and full-stack engineering: React (or equivalent modern front-end framework), PostgreSQL; additional languages (Go, Java) a plus\nUnderstanding of database systems, SQL, NoSQL, data modelling, ETL pipelines, REST/gRPC APIs and microservices architecture\nExperience with modern cloud engineering including platforms (AWS), Docker and Kubernetes; CI/CD in GitLab (or equivalent); infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform)\nWorking knowledge of identity and access management with OIDC / SAML and Azure Entra ID\nExperience with LLMs, RAG systems, prompt engineering and AI evaluation frameworks; familiarity with MLOps, model deployment and AI observability/guardrails\nStrong familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code)\nDepartment overview\nThe AI Hub is responsible for enabling AI and adoption across Trafigura.\nReporting Structure\nReports to the Head of AI.
