The candidate will engage in identifying areas of improvements, recommending solutions, and providing mentorship to improve business benefits and incrementing operational efficiency.\nKey responsibilities\nUnderstand and evaluate business partners’ objectives, needs and challenges to anticipate requirements and resolve areas of improvements.\nBusiness requirement gathering and elicitation.\nFacilitate initiatives prioritization based on business needs and requirements.\nProduce and maintain detailed documentation including business processes (as-is and to-be), workflows, use cases and user stories.\nTranslate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications for technical teams.\nAssist technology teams to design solutions that meet business needs by monitoring, assessing, and validating the solutions and deliverables.\nCoordinate and conduct meetings and presentations to share findings, ideas, and solutions across different technical and non-technical collaborators.\nCollecting critical information from meetings with various collaborators.\nRequired qualifications\n4+ years of proven work experience as business analyst or functional analyst.\nCertified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) or similar certifications.\nFluent English, intermediate or equivalent to B2+.\nProficient in Spanish, advanced or equivalent to C1+. \nPreferred qualifications\nIt’s a plus to have proven ability of requirement analysis in a commercial environment.\nIt’s a plus to have experience in at least one of the following areas: Physical commodity trading life cycle, logistics and storage/inventory management, Invoicing for physical commodities and associated tax implications and/or Settlements & confirmations process for physical and derivative trading.\nAttributes for success\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, ability to clearly transmit information between technical and non-technical collaborators.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.\nCapacity to adapt to different situations.\nAbility to drive business process changes - challenging current business practices, working with key business process personnel.\nWillingness to learn and capacity of self-directed learning.\nDepartment overview\nThe key relationships of the role will be with the Local and Global IT Teams as well as other Local and Global departments such as IT Infrastructure, Accounting and Operations.\nMontevideo IT Trading Team is a growing team owning the Digital Transformation across the Region as well as playing an active role on projects lead from the Headquarters.\nEqual opportunity employer\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and take pride in a diverse workforce!
