We're looking for a proactive, sales-driven Part-Time Sales Associate who loves connecting with people, delivering exceptional service, and creating memorable shopping experiences.
In this role, you'll be the face of Shapermint, helping customers discover products that fit their needs while contributing directly to store sales and customer satisfaction.
You'll combine strong communication, personalized recommendations, and a genuine passion for helping others to create an environment where every customer feels welcomed, understood, and confident.
This is a hands-on opportunity to develop your retail sales skills while being part of Shapermint's growing physical retail presence.
This is a 100% onsite, part-time position based in Valencia or Del Amo, California.
What You'll Do
Drive Sales & Customer Engagement
Proactively connect with customers, understand their needs, and recommend products that drive confident purchases.
Contribute to store sales goals through consultative selling, relevant add-ons, and effective closing.
Build lasting customer relationships that encourage loyalty and repeat visits.
Deliver the Shapermint Experience
Bring Shapermint's mission to life through warm, personalized, and confidence-building service.
Provide thoughtful product recommendations and respectful fitting assistance.
Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every customer feels comfortable and understood.
Capture Customer Insights
Gather valuable customer feedback on products, fit, preferences, and shopping experiences using established guidelines.
Share accurate observations with store leadership to help improve the customer experience.
Support Store Excellence
Maintain high standards in store presentation, fitting rooms, replenishment, and daily operations.
Handle POS transactions, returns, and promotions accurately.
Collaborate with the team, apply feedback, and ensure a seamless shopping experience.

Requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers naturally and confidently.
A proactive, sales-oriented mindset and genuine enthusiasm for helping customers find the right products.
Ability to listen actively, understand customer needs, and provide thoughtful recommendations.
Confidence guiding customers toward purchasing decisions in a respectful, pressure-free way.

Willingness to learn about products, fitting techniques, and retail selling practices.

Strong reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
Availability to work part-time, onsite in Valencia or Del Amo, California, according to agreed store schedules.
Nice to Have
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, beauty, or other customer-facing roles.
Experience in apparel, intimates, shapewear, or athleisure.
Familiarity with POS systems, store operations, or inventory management.
Experience providing personalized product recommendations or fitting assistance.
Previous retail experience is not required. We welcome motivated candidates who demonstrate strong communication skills, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
