About the Role

Own the Store. Drive the Results. Build a High-Performing Team.

We're looking for a commercially driven Store Lead (Store Manager) who knows how to turn exceptional customer experiences into measurable business results.

In this role, you'll take ownership of your store's sales performance, team development, customer experience, and daily operations. You'll lead from the sales floor, setting the standard through personal selling, hands-on coaching, and a relentless focus on execution.

You'll use performance insights to identify growth opportunities, improve conversion, and take decisive action when results fall short. Beyond driving sales, you'll build a strong team, develop future retail leaders, and create an environment where customers feel confident, supported, and inspired to return.

This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on a growing retail brand while helping establish the standards and practices that will support Shapermint's retail expansion.

This is a 100% onsite position based in Valencia or Del Amo, California.

What You'll Do

Drive Sales & Store Performance

  • Own store sales performance, driving results against established targets and commercial goals.

  • Analyze key retail KPIs, including traffic, conversion, AOV, UPT, and labor productivity, to identify growth opportunities.

  • Lead sales improvement initiatives, take corrective action when performance falls short, and track results.

Lead, Coach & Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Lead by example through exceptional personal selling and hands-on floor coaching.

  • Build a results-driven team through effective onboarding, training, feedback, and performance management.

  • Develop Store Supervisors and associates, strengthening selling capabilities and ensuring consistent execution.

Deliver an Exceptional Shapermint Experience

  • Bring Shapermint's mission to life through personalized service, confident product storytelling, and consultative selling.

  • Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where customers feel comfortable, understood, and empowered.

  • Build lasting customer relationships and execute approved initiatives that drive loyalty, repeat visits, and local engagement.

Own Store Operations & Execution

  • Oversee daily store operations, including scheduling, inventory, POS, visual merchandising, and compliance.

  • Optimize team coverage and operational efficiency while managing resources within approved budgets.

  • Maintain high operational standards, resolve challenges proactively, and ensure consistent execution of brand guidelines.

Turn Insights Into Action

  • Use sales data, customer feedback, and store observations to make informed commercial decisions.

  • Identify opportunities to improve store performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

  • Partner with Leap and Shapermint stakeholders to share insights, recommend improvements, and support retail growth.

Location: Valencia or Del Amo, California, USA

Work Model: 100% Onsite

Employment: Through Leap

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading retail sales performance and driving measurable commercial results.

  • Strong hands-on selling skills, with the ability to coach others and improve team performance.

  • Experience leading, developing, and managing customer-facing retail teams.

  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs, sales forecasting, conversion, and store operations.

  • Ability to translate performance data into clear priorities, corrective actions, and measurable improvements.

  • Experience managing store schedules, inventory, operational controls, and labor efficiency.

  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and address performance challenges.

  • Ability to operate independently, make sound decisions, and collaborate effectively with retail leadership.

  • Availability to work onsite in Valencia or Del Amo, California, according to store scheduling requirements.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager, or Senior Retail Supervisor.

  • Experience in apparel, intimates, shapewear, beauty, or athleisure retail.

  • Experience opening new stores or working with growing retail brands.

  • Background in direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands or customer-focused retail environments.
