Whether you're advancing AI in HVAC or driving analytics for greater efficiency, your ideas will help engineer solutions for stronger communities and a sustainable world.\nWhat you will do:\nDeploy, test, measure & verify AI control algorithms for existing building control systems\nAnalyze and improve the building control system to optimize the energy consumption and the zoning comfort\nContribute to the development of the different HVAC algorithms\nParticipate cross-functionally with teams for building deployments & performance analysis\nWork closely with customers to develop new HVAC control sequence, advise on repairs control systems\nImprove company tools, templates, and processes related to energy consumption analysis and building performance analysis\nAble to understand HVAC mechanical plans and wiring diagrams\nProvide training and follow-up training on HVAC system controls to customers\nDocument work processes and procedures\nIdentify, analyze and resolve issues in a timely manner\nProvide, analyze and review performance reports & advise corrective action plans & review feedback with different departments.\nOther tasks as assigned\nWhat you will bring:\nDEC or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or related field\n5 plus years of experience with building automation and HVAC control system\nExperience with DDC, PLC or similar programming in BAS and HVAC control\nIn-depth knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC, electrical and building operations\nExperience with commissioning building HVAC automation controls and systems\nThorough understanding of building control theory and concepts\nDiverse experience in proprietary controls is a plus (JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Alerton, Delta, Niagara, Schneider/TAC, etc.)\nExperience with building management system protocols like, BACnet, Modbus, Lonworks\nStrong organizational and communication skills\nStrong reporting skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills, charismatic and able to present easily.\nStrong Energy Management and performance checking skills.\nStrong Trend log reading, analysis, finding actionable insights & reporting skills .\nFamiliar with the programming language python\nLanguage Requirements\nFrench-English bilingualism is required.\nIn addition to fluency in French, successful candidates must have full professional proficiency in English in order to support and collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or various stakeholders.\nAs detailed in the job description, this position requires regular oral and written communication with other Trane teams located across Canada and occasionally the United States, with English speaking customers across Canada, and with English speaking vendors or suppliers across Canada and occasionally the United States.
