We boldly challenge what’s possible for a sustainable world.\nThis is an Engineering Intern position running from May 2027 through August 2027. \nThis internship will be with the Trane Technologies Applied Compression Engineering Group located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. We are responsible for the analysis, design, testing, and qualification of Trane positive displacement and centrifugal compressors. You will be given a variety of assignments to experience the theoretical and practical side of engineering. Most activity will take place in an office environment with some time spent in the Trane laboratory. Limited travel to suppliers and customers may also be required, depending on the assignment.\nWhat you will do:\n Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):Perform engineering analysis and modeling to support design choices and predict compressor performance.\nSupport lab testing and data analysis to verify that compressors meet requirements.\nCreate and maintain engineering documentation, including technical reports, drawings, and specifications.\nProvide technical support to laboratory technicians, manufacturing engineering, suppliers and operations.\nCollaborate with team to complete engineering design projects.\n\n Key Competencies:Demonstrated ability to take initiative (minimum of one example in the *last four years such as: previous employment, school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc.)\nStrong work ethic and positive attitude.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\n\nWhat you will bring:\nMINIMUM qualifications\nPursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Sophomore or Junior standing) or related field\nOverall 3.0 GPA or above.\nCoursework completed in Thermodynamics and Mechanical System Design.\n\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$25.50Compensation Type:\nHourlyIncentive Eligible:\nNoSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
