Working alongside experienced engineers, you will gain hands-on experience in call-outs, installations, and planned preventative maintenance, supporting customers across sectors including hospitality, education, food, and manufacturing. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you build your skills and progress in the role.\n\nWhat you will do\nAssist experienced engineers with the installation of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment in line with customer specifications and company standards. \nSupport planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across a range of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. \nLearn to diagnose faults and assist with repairs under supervision. \nHelp prepare condition reports and identify remedial works where required. \nMaintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed. \nFollow all relevant health and safety legislation, environmental requirements, and company procedures. \nDevelop a sound understanding of industry standards, compliance requirements, and engineering best practice. \nDeliver a professional, reliable, and customer-focused service at all times. \nWork collaboratively with colleagues while developing the confidence and capability to undertake tasks independently over time. \nActively participate in training and development opportunities to build technical competence and support career progression. \nWha you will bring\nA strong interest in refrigeration, air conditioning, or engineering.\nA willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.\nGood communication and customer service skills.\nA positive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.\nThe ability to work effectively as part of a team.\nGood practical and problem-solving skills.\nA commitment to safe working practices and following company procedures.\nA full UK driving licence, or the ability to work towards obtaining one where appropriate.\nDesirable:\nPrevious experience in a trainee, apprentice, labouring, maintenance, mechanical, or electrical role.\nA relevant college qualification or training in refrigeration, air conditioning, engineering, or building services.\nBasic knowledge of hand tools, maintenance tasks, or site-based working environments.\nF-Gas certification, or a willingness to work towards achieving this.\nWhat we offer\nCompetitive salary. \nOngoing training and development. \nThe opportunity to gain industry-recognised skills and qualifications. \nSupport and mentoring from experienced engineers and managers. \nOvertime paid at enhanced rates, where applicable. \nCompany pension. \nCompany vehicle, where applicable. \n23 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays. \nA dynamic and supportive working environment within a fast-paced, customer-focused industry. \nA genuine opportunity to build a long-term career within the commercial refrigeration and HVAC sector. \nWe offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
