Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.What's in it for you:\n The Associate Engineer is a key member of the product development team which works closely with other Engineering teams, such as the Test Lab, Manufacturing and Product Management to create competitive designs for Trane Commercial HVAC equipment. The selected individual must have the technical expertise to support product design projects, product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality & reliability issues, interpret technical agency standards and conduct projects in accordance with standard engineering and stage gate PDP practices.\nWhat you will do:\nMeet the needs of internal and external customers, through documenting, understanding and prioritizing customer requirements.\nApply technical expertise to solve design problems or to gauge appropriateness of product to various applications.\nParticipate on project teams to meet performance, reliability, cost and schedule objectives.\nCreate and maintain engineering documentation; including technical reports, lab test results, drawings, and specifications.\nConduct design FMEAs; develop and execute resulting risk mitigation plans.\nProvide technical support to laboratory technicians, manufacturing engineering, suppliers, technical service and operations.\nBoth domestic and international travel may be required. Estimated travel is 10%.\nWhat you will bring:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 0-2 years of engineering or product design experience is required.\nAble to function as a team member on cross-functional product engineering teams, and deliver on select design elements for projects.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate up, down, and across the organization.\nKnowledge of Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) fundamentals.\nExcellent analytical, mathematical, project management and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to quickly and efficiently understand and organize information necessary to make engineering decisions.\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$52,300.00 - $93,485.00Compensation Type:\nSalaryIncentive Eligible:\nNoSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
