Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.What’s in it for you:\nThe Category Manager, Capital Equipment, has responsibility for strategic category leadership and leading negotiations for Capital Equipment purchases for the entire organization. The Category Manager has the critical responsibility of managing business needs with internal partners to identify and manage a supply base to deliver value across all SBUs.\n What you will do:\nResponsible for strategy development, execution of Procurement processes and supplier relationship management\n\nDevelop & implement multi-year category strategies with goals to increase spend with preferred suppliers\n\nDevelop relationships and communication strategies with internal partners to identify business needs and align supply base to achieve strategic direction\n\nResponsible for building and managing strategic supplier relationships through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovation\n\nProvide leadership and oversight of the sourcing process to ensure spend is awarded to provide the maximum value\n\nLead the development and negotiation of contracts through the contract lifecycle maximizing value while minimizing risk\n\nPartner with Regional and Global Procurement teams to ensure delivery of productivity and cost avoidance\n\nAbility to travel 10-15%\n\nWhat you will bring:\nBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field\n\nMBA or advanced degree preferred\n\n7+ years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain.\n\nSourcing experience in the development and management of a global supply base is required\n\nExperience within indirect sourcing is preferred\n\n5+ years of experience in Category Management\n\nDemonstrated success includes supplier development across regions, responsibility for high-level negotiations, leading multi-functional projects\n\nStrong analytics experience\n\nLean experience beneficial\n\nCommunication Skills - Exhibits enthusiasm, influences customers, represents Procurement with SBU leadership, presentation and messaging skills (understanding the audience)Supply Chain Acumen - Established long-term strategies, champions’ development and utilization of globally competitive tools and processes, drives for optimal business results focused on meeting the needs of the business.\n\nProject Management - Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to align objectives, manages global project portfolio, oversees overall implementation.\n\nGlobal Business Thinking/Strategizing - Demonstrates deep global knowledge of suppliers, industry trends, emerging markets, technology, geopolitical changes; drives this knowledge into short and long-term strategies.\n\nProblem Solving - Understands customer expectations; keeps abreast of competitor/related industry problems; anticipate and avoid potential problems; supports team problem solving and corrective action plan implementation.\n\nRelationship Management - Creates collaborative environment with cross-functional peers, assures regular/appropriate two-way communication flow, builds/maintains relationship with industry peers and supplier leaders, and reinforces lead on voice to the supply base.\n\nChange Management - Develops and utilizes change management tools to educate business on key strategies and business objectives to support vision of indirect procurement.\n\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$97,406.66 - $135,834.99Compensation Type:\nSalaryIncentive Eligible:\nYesSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
