Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.JD for Design Engineer:\nJob Summary: This position will provide design support for product development projects in the field of Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration products for Trane Technologies.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport Design Engineering projects independently. Collaborate with other design and product engineers working on those projects.\nStrong focus on sheet metal and Tubing part design. Prepares layouts and concepts design, sketches and details drawings as required.\nPrepare/maintain Engineering documentation, bill of material and change notices.\nCollaborates and communicates cross functionally and project partners.\nProvides design support for current production parts and products.\nUnderstand and adhere to design and drafting standard practices.\nWork from oral or written engineering instructions, procedures, drawings, and sketches.\nCommit to deliver 100% QDC.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.\n3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.\nKey Competencies:\nHands on experience on Creo, Team Center & Wind-chill.\nGood knowledge on casting, machining, sheet metal and Tubing part design and manufacturing processes.\nCreo Simulation knowledge.\nGood knowledge on GD&T (ASME Y14.5M).\nGood understanding of casting design and manufacturing process.\nGood knowledge on Bill of Materials and Engineering change management process.\nHVAC/Refrigeration domain experience is preferred.\nGood Oral and Written communication skill.\nAbility to handle Design/Drawing release process with minimum guidance.\nGood understanding of refrigeration sub systems and components.\nWe offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
