Your mission: ensure smooth operations without ever leaving your desk. You'll be the first to spot and address issues, coordinate solutions, and keep a vigilant eye on our buildings. This is a desk-based role, no fieldwork required.\nYour overarching objective being to monitor troubleshoot our deployed models on customer sites in real-time.\nWhat you will do:\nLead Technical Operations\nOversee system architecture, configuration, and integration for Cloud BMS deployments. Lead remote troubleshooting, optimization, and commissioning efforts for IoT devices, HVAC controls, lighting, and refrigeration systems. \nEnsure platform reliability, uptime, and performance through proactive monitoring and issue resolution. \nDesign, develop, and test control programs and sequences for IoT devices and building automation systems. \nAct as a subject matter expert in cloudbased building automation, control logic, and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.). \nProvide advanced technical expertise to support sales, customer success, operations, and implementation teams. \nEmpower and Mentor Teams\nTrain and mentor, a team of controls specialists, fostering knowledge sharing, growth, and technical excellence. \nProvide constructive feedback and promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. \nServe as the escalation point for complex technical challenges and system-critical incidents. \nCustomer and Stakeholder Collaboration\nPartner with clients to understand needs, define requirements, and deliver tailored solutions. Communicate directly with customers to address issues, service requests, escalations, and system updates. \nProactively manage customer expectations and ensure alignment with established SLAs and contractual commitments. \nContribute to drafting or reviewing SLAs to support quality control and algorithm development processes. \nDrive Continuous Improvement\nAnalyze system performance data to identify optimization opportunities and implement innovative solutions. \nCollaborate with development, data science, and algorithm teams to enhance integrations and deployment workflows. \nLead documentation improvements, including test procedures, QA/QC results, step by step guides, and product reviews. \nSupport Knowledge Centered Service (KCS) improvements and apply shiftleft practices to increase troubleshooting efficiency. \nMaintain comprehensive technical documentation for internal teams and customers. \nOperational Support\nContribute to maintenance and system updates on client systems in a remote capacity. \nPerform analytical testing (QA/QC) for new product validation, stability assessments, and release readiness. \nStay current with advancements in IoT, cloud technologies, building automation, and control system standards. \nProvide afterhours coverage (nights, weekends, holidays) when required, with appropriate compensation. \nWhat you will bring:\nDiploma in mechanical, electrical, or building environments engineering technology, or equivalent trade/field experience. \n3 - 5 years of experience with building automation and HVAC control systems, preferably in the IoT domain. \nExperience training, mentoring, or coaching junior team members or peers. \nStrong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). \nHands-on experience with BMS software, programming, and hardware (Distech, Schneider Electric, Delta Controls, etc.). \nIn-depth knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC/mechanical systems, electrical, refrigeration, and building operations. \nExperience commissioning HVAC automation controls and building management systems. \nProficiency with BMS communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, DIIInet). \nStrong Unix/Linux OS experience, including scripting and command-line operations. \nSolid IT and networking knowledge (configuration, troubleshooting, architecture). \nExperience with electronics, testing equipment, circuitry, and control panel wiring. \nAbility to multi-task, work autonomously, and collaborate across departments. \nFamiliarity with Python, MQTT, RESTful APIs, and NodeRED. \nTridium Niagara 4 certification is an asset. \nLanguage Requirements\nFrench-English bilingualism is required.\nIn addition to fluency in French, successful candidates must have full professional proficiency in English in order to support and collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or various stakeholders.\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$66 300,00 - $94 850,00Compensation Type:\nSalaryIncentive Eligible:\nYesSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
