This role provides both strategic and hands-on leadership for EHS programs, facility and equipment maintenance, capital planning, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and distribution operations.\nThe position serves as the site subject matter expert for EHS compliance and risk reduction, while also overseeing maintenance systems, facility services, fire protection readiness, security support, and infrastructure performance. As a member of the leadership team, this individual partners cross-functionally to drive a culture of safety, accountability, business continuity, and operational excellence.\nWhat you will do:\nLead and improve site EHS and maintenance performance by promoting an incident-free workplace and safe work behaviors.\nEnsure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as corporate policies and applicable ISO standards.\nDevelop, implement, and sustain EHS management systems, compliance calendars, procedures, and training programs.\nInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; identify root causes; and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.\nManage regulatory reporting requirements, inspections, audits, waste handling activities, and environmental records, including waste manifests and related documentation.\nOversee hazardous waste, storm water, fire safety, and other compliance-related programs to maintain regulatory readiness and best practices.\nEvaluate processes, equipment, and work areas to identify hazards, recommend solutions, and reduce operational risk.\nTrack and trend EHS key performance indicators, incidents, and compliance activities using internal tools and reporting systems.\nPartner with leaders and employees to drive engagement, safety committees, Gemba walks, ergonomic improvements, risk assessments, and employee awareness initiatives.\nManage maintenance staff and outside contractors responsible for equipment, facilities, grounds, and building systems.\nOversee maintenance planning, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment repairs, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and long-term asset reliability.\nSupport installation, inspection, testing, and upkeep of manufacturing equipment, facility systems, fire protection systems, security systems, and related infrastructure.\nResolve facilities-related issues and support site improvement, business continuity, and capital expenditure initiatives.\nManage EHS and maintenance budgets, identify cost-effective solutions, and provide leadership updates on financial and project performance.\nProvide leadership support for sustainability initiatives, including energy, waste, and water reduction efforts.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs, site operations, emergency response, and continuous improvement activities.\nProvide timely communication to employees and leadership on EHS, facilities, maintenance, and risk management topics.\nPerform other duties as assigned in support of site operations and business objectives.\nWhat you will bring:\nWorking knowledge of OSHA and other applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.\nExperience leading EHS and maintenance functions in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.\nDemonstrated ability to guide, coach, and develop teams while driving accountability and results.\nExperience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, and corrective action follow-up.\nKnowledge of maintenance systems, preventive maintenance, facility operations, fire/life safety systems, and equipment reliability practices.\nExperience managing budgets, contractors, capital projects, and cost improvement initiatives.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and build trust across all levels of the organization.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard business systems.\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Occupational Health and Safety, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.\nHigh school diploma or GED required;
