If the answer is yes, we invite you to consider joining us in boldly challenging what's possible for a sustainable world.\nLearn about our benefits designed for you to Thrive at work and at home.\nWe boldly go.\nWhere is the work:\nOn-Site (5 days)Job Summary:\nResponsible for ensuring workplace conditions meet all regulations for the health and safety of all workers in the facility and maintaining and improving environmental impact of the facility.\nResponsibilities:\nConducts and reports findings of safety audits and inspections\nMaintains files of safety audits and inspections\nConducts some safety, health and environmental related training\nAudits safety equipment and supplies (eyewash stations, spill cabinets, AED’s etc.)\nConduct, audit and maintain JSA system with Production Leader support\nParticipate on safety committees\nParticipate in the Incident Investigation Review Meetings\nMaintain and update Incident Investigation records\nEnsure EH&S designated safety communication boards are current\nEnsure safety training of transferred or new employees is complete\nRandomly audit forklift operators and shipping drivers for daily inspection sheet compliance, seat belt use, safe driving performance, etc.\nRegularly check for general safety hazard, PPE, etc., and report them to appropriate personnel\nAssist in development and updating of safety policies and procedures\nTake a lead role in developing and implementing Behavior-based Safety observation program\nQualifications and Requirements:\nMust have strong computer knowledge and skills\nMust have demonstrated sense of responsibility, leadership skills, and accuracy in performance of past and present job assignments\nAbility to read and understand specifications and instructions\nMust have strong communication skills and able to present material on one-to-one basis as well as to a group of peers\nEducation/ and or Certifications:\nAssociates degree in an Environmental Health and Safety field (Preferred)\nCertifications in applicable fields: First Aid, Hazardous Waste Disposal, Government required (OSHA)\nStrong Written and Oral communication\nAbility to train others\nPhysical Requirements :\nPerform tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, with good hand dexterity (gripping and pinching repetitively) for more than 2/3’s of work shift\nLift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally.
