As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will support the design, development, testing, and optimization of embedded software for advanced cutting-edge Telematics and IoT-enabled solutions. This role partners closely with cross-functional hardware, firmware, and software teams to deliver reliable, high-performance, and connected products. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in embedded C/C++ development, real-time systems, hardware integration, and troubleshooting complex system interactions. This is a full-time, in-office role based in York, PA, with the Engineering team working Monday through Friday, including a half day on Fridays to support work-life balance!\nWhat will you do:\nLead and participate in the architecture, implementation, testing, and debugging of embedded firmware and drivers.\nDrive the design, development, and maintenance of embedded software solutions using C/C++ for real-time applications.\nIntegrate connectivity technologies including Controller Area Network (CAN), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and cellular communication into embedded systems.\nPerform code reviews, participate in peer programming, and adhere to best practices for embedded development.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards for reliability, security, and performance.\nDocument designs, processes, and changes in accordance with internal procedures.\nTroubleshoot complex system issues involving hardware, firmware, and software interactions.\nSupport product validation, field testing, and product deployment activities.\nWhat you will bring\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in programming, testing, data acquisition, electronic systems, and PCB design.\nProficiency in C/C++ for embedded and real-time applications.\nHands-on experience developing, debugging, and troubleshooting embedded systems on target hardware.\nExperience with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.\nStrong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and component datasheets.\nStrong documentation, collaboration, and communication skills.\nHighly motivated self-starter with the ability to succeed in a dynamic team environment.\nFlexible, friendly, and adaptable in a team-based culture.\nDemonstrated proficiency in hardware design and embedded software development, including C/C++ and PCB design using Orcad.\nKnowledge of commercial software qualification standards for process-related or embedded systems.\nSolid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience interfacing with and controlling three-phase electrical systems.\nExperience with PIC 8-bit and 16-bit microcontrollers and/or iMX93 system-on-module platforms.\nExperience with MATLAB, Python, or VBA.\nExperience with communication protocols and interfaces, including SPI, I2C, Modbus, RS-422, RS-485, and CAN bus.\nExperience working with temperature and pressure transducers, including 0-10 V and 4-20 mA signals.\nExperience with Orcad or other EMA design software.\nExperience with Linux-based real-time operating systems.\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$84,740.00 - $137,200.00Compensation Type:\nSalaryIncentive Eligible:\nNoSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
