This role involves managing a team of maintenance staff, coordinating with external contractors, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to ensure the smooth functioning of the company's lab and office infrastructure.\nWhat you will do:\nOversee the daily operations of the facilities maintenance department, including managing staff, scheduling, and assigning tasks.\nDevelop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities.\nConduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs.\nCoordinate and supervise the work of external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.\nEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and local building codes.\nManage the budget for the maintenance department, including forecasting expenses, tracking expenditures, and optimizing resource allocation.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and building blueprints.\nRespond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.\nCollaborate with other departments to support facility-related needs and projects.\nDevelop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations.\nTrain and mentor maintenance staff, promoting professional development and ensuring high performance standards.\nWhat you will bring:\nBachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.\nStrong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.\nExcellent leadership and team management skills.\nProficient in using maintenance management software and tools.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nKnowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.\nCertification in facilities management (CFM) or related credentials is a plus.\nWorking Conditions:\nThis position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address emergency maintenance needs.\nPhysical requirements include the ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform other physically demanding tasks.\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$75,700.00 - $135,834.99Compensation Type:\nSalaryIncentive Eligible:\nNoSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
