This role is responsible for delivering high-quality field service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and helping maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to service excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform installation, commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and repair of cooling and temperature control equipment at customer locations.\nDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement effective corrective actions.\nConduct preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.\nRespond to service calls in a timely manner and provide technical support in the field.\nComplete service reports, maintenance documentation, and job records accurately and promptly.\nCommunicate clearly with customers regarding equipment condition, service recommendations, and follow-up actions.\nEnsure compliance with company safety standards, customer site requirements, and applicable regulations.\nSupport equipment testing, startup, and operational verification after repairs or installations.\nMaintain service tools, test instruments, and company vehicle in good working condition.\nCollaborate with internal teams including operations, technical support, and customer service to resolve issues efficiently.\nIdentify opportunities for service improvement and communicate customer feedback to management.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma, associate degree, or trade certification preferred.\nExperience in field service, HVAC, refrigeration, industrial cooling, or related mechanical/electrical service environments.\nWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.\nAbility to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nValid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.\nAbility to work independently with limited supervision.\nStrong communication and customer service skills.\nProficiency with service reporting tools, mobile devices, or basic computer systems.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience servicing rental cooling equipment, chillers, HVAC systems, or industrial temperature control solutions.\nFamiliarity with refrigerant handling and applicable safety/environmental requirements.\nRelevant certifications in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical systems, or safety training.\nExperience working in customer-facing industrial or commercial environments.\nUnderstanding of commissioning and startup procedures.\nKey Competencies\nCustomer focus\nTechnical aptitude\nTroubleshooting\nTime management\nAdaptability\nSafety awareness\nCommunication\nTeam collaboration\nAccountability\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift and move tools, parts, and equipment within established safety guidelines.\nAbility to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying temperatures and weather conditions.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces as needed.\nAbility to travel frequently based on service territory and customer demands.\nWork Environment\nThis role operates primarily in the field at customer sites and may require work outside normal business hours, including occasional overtime or on-call support, depending on business needs.\nEqual Opportunity Statement\nICS Cool Energy is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all employees are treated with dignity and respect.
