As AI, high-performance computing, and hyperscale data centers push thermal limits beyond what traditional systems can support, our liquid cooling technologies are enabling a fundamental shift in how data centers are designed and operated.\nWe are seeking a hands-on Laboratory Technician (Engineering Technician) to play a critical role in design validation, rapid prototyping, and performance optimization of advanced liquid cooling solutions. Reporting to the Director of R&D, you will work across component, system, and rack-level environments, contributing directly to product development and real-world deployment readiness.\nThis role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond executing test procedures and into owning complex validation environments, influencing engineering decisions, and working on cutting-edge infrastructure at scale.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn R&D lab testing and validation of liquid cooling solutions from component-level to system-level\nBuild, configure, and operate complex test systems, including fluid loops, sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition platforms\nPartner with engineering to design, modify, and optimize experimental setups\nExecute and adapt test plans in a fast-paced, iterative R&D environment\nTroubleshoot and debug integrated systems, identifying root causes across mechanical, thermal, and fluid domains\nAnalyze and interpret data to identify performance trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities\nContribute to test automation and efficiency improvements, including scripting, controls, or process enhancements where applicable\nMaintain high standards for data integrity, documentation, and repeatability\nEnsure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols\nTechnical Scope & Tools\nYou will gain hands-on experience with:\nData acquisition systems (DAQ, LabVIEW, PLC-based controls, or similar)\nSystem-level debugging of fluid, thermal, and mechanical systems\nRack-level test environments simulating real-world data center conditions\nIntegration of cooling systems with broader infrastructure environments\nWhat You Own\nEnd-to-end execution and reliability of test setups and validation workflows\nAccuracy, quality, and usability of experimental data\nReadiness and performance of lab infrastructure and equipment\nContinuous improvement of lab processes, scalability, and efficiency\nWhat Success Looks Like\nYou independently build and execute complex test environments\nYour data directly informs and improves engineering design decisions\nYou proactively identify issues and drive solutions end-to-end\nYou improve lab efficiency, scalability, and repeatability over time\nYou operate effectively in a high-speed, evolving R&D environment\nGrowth & Career Path\nThis role is designed as a pathway into:\nAdvanced R&D or Test Engineering roles\nSystem validation and product engineering\nLab leadership within a rapidly scaling organization\nSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nAssociate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Thermal Systems, or related field\n3+ years of experience in engineering lab, R&D, or hardware validation environments\nStrong experience with charging, recovering, and handling of common refrigerants in a research lab\nStrong experience with instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems\nFamiliar with liquid cooling, CDUs, immersion cooling, or DTC systems (preferred)\nFamiliar with Data center infrastructure or high-performance computing environments\nExperience in test automation, scripting, or controls systems (a plus)\nExperience in fast-paced, iterative product development environments\nStrong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills\nWillingness to travel up to 5%\nValid passport and driver’s license\nAbility to meet background check and screening requirements\nEPA Section 608 certification\nWelding is PLUS\nAnnual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:\n$52,800.00 - $74,550.00Compensation Type:\nException HourlyIncentive Eligible:\nNoSales Commission Eligible:\nNoDisclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
